Thanks for the info. Re: gearbox, I have the manual, and it's sometimes reluctant to engage 1st - needs a bit of a shove/couple of attempts. Maybe 10% of the time. It also once in a car park refused to engage first - every time I put it in 1st it was in reverse, eventually had to pull away in...

So, I've had the A4 for 3 years out of my 4 year dealer PCP, after three years in an A3. Have a 5 year old and a 7 year old kid. Other half hates the A4 (at least partly because the gearbox is a bit dodgy but Audi refuse to fix). Looking to change to a Q3 or Q5. Am favouring Q3 at the moment...

I got the 1.4 as it was the only engine available with the manual box with my other half wanted as she had just passed her test. It's not gutless, but you could definitely use the extra power - you end up dropping to 4th for overtakes on the motorway... Sent from my ONEPLUS A6003 using Tapatalk

I've a 67 plate 1.4 Avant S Line - kids were 4 and 2 when I got it, 6 and 4 now. Rear seat space absolutely no problem for the kids, loads of space - I'm 6' and do the majority of the driving, the 4yo is behind me but the 6yo could be with no issues. Boot space - generally fine, but it's not...
