Coming from an A3 to an A4 I also missed the clearview mount. I hate all the standard vent mounts and find the vents on the A4 to small for them to work properly. I actually went with a cd holder as in the pictures from Amazon. Works really well and is very stable. I always have waze on, so...
Haha that was just me paranoid about water getting where it shouldn’t! Probably a bit overkill but didn’t want to chance it

Gave the engine bay a detail for the first time today, it was only a bit dusty but never attempted it before. Was so pleased with the results I even gave my partners fiesta a quick once over, which was in a bit of a sorry state!

Thanks didn’t come up in the search maybe cause it was on mobile. Yours looks good maybe I just need a few more goes. Was trying to avoid getting it out, but might have too.
Thanks found the posts in the tread that didn’t come up in my search. Unfortunately that related to the MMI but didn’t conclude wether it will help the cluster and would’ve thought they would be slightly different materials?

When in direct sunlight my instrument cluster looks awful because of all the scratches/swirls. The sunlight only hits the bottom but it has really started to annoy me.
Looking online I found various people saying Meguiars plastX helps remove the swirls. Had some lying about so tried applying...
Does this count as extreme parking? [emoji23]Spotted at Stansted airport the other day... gives good peace of mind when your away I suppose.

It’s done it on mine ever since I picked up the car. I did consider shaving the trim but always thought it would look a bit weird however I did it. Might consider taking apart the centre console and repositioning it at some point... don’t wanna create more creaks though [emoji23]

Not really, there was nothing mechanically wrong with the handbrake. It just seemed to be the positioning of the centre console and didn’t think it was worth the effort of removing the whole centre console.
I ended up rubbing some silicon spray on the handbrake lever and to try and ease the...
Added some sound dampening to the doors and boot floor this weekend. Not a huge difference but noticeable when driving it every day and mid bass as it doesn’t get lost so easily. Doors also make a satisfying thud when closing.
Still need to sort out a passenger door rattle which appears on...
For my sportback, I actually went with Whispbar. Never hear any wind noise with just the bars and I personally feel they look a bit better than the Thule ones.

Do love the look of those! Where did you get that gear knob from and for how much? I was looking at getting one a month ago but the prices just seemed so steep... at least £230 and couldn’t justify it.

Some strong opinions :tearsofjoy: but each to their own. I was actually surprised at how little it affects the light output and living down south, can't say I'm worried about foggy weather. Had it serviced yesterday and they didn't raise in issues.
Fog lights were from @t8ups, £30 for the pair...
Got my taillights tinted, I know it’s not to everyone’s taste but always thought the red just looked to bright against the black. Really happy with the result and transformed the back of the car (also helps it’s cleaner). Rear LEDs looks much sharper at night now as well.
Also upgraded...
Hi all,
Currently trying to replace the single fakra connector that was installed with my headunit, with a dual fakra connector.
I’ve removed the single fakra connector terminal from the connector, but new connector ( with the red collar) is different and doesn’t look like it’ll fit the male...
Yeah so managed to fix the static - signal was being over-amplified so any input that creates noise was really noticeable. Just had to adjust the screws on a box that is part of the connects2 wiring harness. This got rid of the static - still ever so slightly there but not noticeable to anyone...
I also get the popping occasionally when starting the car, but it hasn't happened at all when actually driving so hasn't bothered me to much.
I'm currently getting a really annoying issue with my SPH-DA230 though. When ever I connect carplay to use maps, my iphone will lose bluetooth...
