From doing some research I think it is a lamba sensor fault but still want to get it scanned asap. Brought the car from a trader but with no warranty or anything so I guess I have no comeback? Only ever brought privately in the past. Cheers for the help everyone

On two of my 4 8Ls I've owned I've had a knocking from the front which was actually the radiator banging around where the bottom of it wasn't bolted to anything.

From vagcom: 01423 - Lateral Acceleration Sensor (G200) I've replaced this sensor in the past on my old S3 (at least I thought it was this sensor) but it looks completely different. Any help would be great? Thanks,

Cool cheers for the tips, I ended up bending a allen key a bit to get it undone but couldn't do it up properly using this method so will have to go get a wobble bar. On the other hand my oil pick up pipe was almost totally blocked with grit so well worth doing.

Looking for some help again. Taking my sump off to give it a good clean and can't get to two of the nuts, the ones in question are nearest to the gearbox, the problem is that they are set at an angle and obstructed by the sump/ gear box so I cant get an allen key in there. Any ideas would...

Looks like this week is going to be yet another expensive audi maintenance week. Was gonna go to Audi today and get a new lateral sensor and coolant temp sensor so will pop in Euro car parts and get the oil today as well.

Also are there any signs that I should be looking out for? Engine running hot etc?

Ok thanks very much, I'll give it an oil/ filter change and a good flush through. If that doesn't sort it then what sort of money am I looking at for a new oil pump + labour?

Think prefacelift cars have both the longitundinal and latteral ones under the steering and on facelift cars the longitudinal one is behind the glove box on a golden metal bracket.

Yep your right they are interchangeable and from memory I think the lateral one is under the steering so I will give them a swap and a scan. Cheers
