Just how they perform on the road really - specifically on the A3/S3. I did go in an S3 recently on coilovers (Avo possibly) and handling was amazing compared to my set up (standard shocks and eibach pro kit).
Snowy - thanks for the info - very helpful.
Thanks for the advice. I've got the V3s on a Mk2 Golf but was wondering how they are on an S3. It will never see a track so possibly overkill but, as you say, don't cost much more.
Thanks for the prompt reply tuffty. Will try and get it scanned. Do you know where I can buy a basic version of vcds and roughly what it's likely to cost?
Hi all,
Wondering if anyone can shed any light on this which may turn out to be stupid questions :/
Anyway here goes. So my car felt a bit sluggish which coincided with the cruise control intermittently failing to engage, and rev jumping in 3rd gear on full boost. This all seems to point to...
I've read similar comments previously but for me it's just not something I'd be comfortable doing and I'd probably make a mess of it anyway! But I need a FMIC if I'm ever going to go beyond a stage 1 map! And I met someone recently who told me a few horror stories about some remaps from one...
Thanks to you both. Wanted to avoid cutting the crash bar so that rules out the airtec which, I understand, requires cutting. I've seen all the comments about the function of the crash bar etc but it's just something I don't want to do/have done.
Thanks Tufty - very helpful. Loving the trouser analogy!
As mentioned I'm not planning on any big power at this stage so as long as it can cope with a hybrid in due course I'd be more than happy. But reassuring to know a few big powered cars use it although appreciate it may not necessarily be...
Not sure if this is the correct thread for other FMICs but has anyone got any experience of the wager tuning FMIC on an S3 8L. I'm considering it because it doesn't require crash bar mods, and can keep my fogs. What's the maximum power it will be able to cope with? Not planning anything major at...
a slippery slope! Maintaining it has hit the bank account hard over the past 8 years of ownership especially when you do everything properly and with high quality parts. I do love it though
Thanks again. I really like this forum - so friendly compared to a few others and groups I've experienced! So much information - will keep me busy for a while and possibly empty my bank account lol
