    A3 2009 Sportback Rumble/Vibration at 3000rpm to 3500rpm

I too have 2009 sportback tfsi and also have a similar vibration only occurring at just over 2100 rpm to approx 2300 rpm. Ive not hit the kerb as far as I know, all wheels balanced etc, the vibration seems to be coming from the front a frame top of the door area if that makes sense. It only does...

    Engine carbon clean.. Recommended!!!

I agree, I could honestly say my car picks up quicker on acceleration and is smoother across the rev range, for 80 quid it was a no brainer, yes I could do with proper walnut blasting done and injectors cleaned at some point but I also need to find money for a new timing chain and tensioner and...

    Engine carbon clean.. Recommended!!!

Hi, Town driving maybe not changed too much, all depends upon how much I'm stuck in traffic so between 20-25mpg, my motorway mpg with 3 adults and a child as usual on a 50 mile journey to Bristol and back is now giving me 33-35 mpg dependent on my right foot, where before I struggled to get 32...

So just got a full quote from The Wheel Specialist in Bristol for full strip down and powder coat for all 4 wheels, 9 hours work would cost £380 inc vat and re-balancing. I thought that's what it would cost but apparently they do a good job...decisions...I could buy those S3 wheels for similar...

I'm at Weston-super-Mare so have been looking at Bristol, maybe The Wheel Specialist? I've called and was quoted approximately 100 per wheel, obviously I've not had wheels re done before so just presumed they did a great job lol... I'll hold back then if that's off the mark.

I agree, they look great above on dave's car with that paint and sideskirts, just unsure if they'll be as good on my standard s-line in silver..... Am I correct in thinking I need et45 ? As I will need all 4 of my s-line alloys powder coated that may cost me £400 so I'd much rather put the...

    Tyre recommendations

I've just needed 2 rears due to a slow puncture, Blackcircles currently have some great deals on fitted tyres. I managed 2 Pilot Sport 4's fitted for £105 each. Could have saved a few pounds and got some cheaper tyres but these are quality and last well too.

Ok thanks I'll look them up and see if they should fit with no issues, I'd rather spend my money on some newer wheels in good condition than refurbing my 10 year old wheels if I can. Thanks again

Hi I've spotted your car photo and think it looks awesome by the way I am deciding as to whether or not refurb my 2008 tfsi s-line 18" alloys or buy new wheels, I think yours look great do you have the ET? Im running std 225/40/18 tyres at the moment and the car needs a freshen up. Cheers Clive
