    It's possible there is a dirty contact on the connector of the rear door loom. Spray a bit of contact/switch cleaner and connecting/disconnecting the connector several times to ensure good contact is made. It's also possible there is a bad ground. Check for continuity to ensure good ground

    You're not physically breaking, a breaker bar allows extra torque to allow the stuck bolt to be removed. You use the breaker bar on any stuck bolt.
