To anyone who said this is a hairdressers car or it handles terrible and you will die in it is just wrong...you obviously have not owned one.
Having owned an s1 standard car its not fast - it does handle superbley, does require a certain humour!...for certain moments it entry and exit...
Hi guys im thinking about replacing my non xenon headlight bulbs - as the originals are very very poor i have to admit!! im not that loaded as im moving house soon so looking for a cheaper option.
Just wanted to get a feel for what you guys are using or have used.
Thanks.
I have this option on my A3 54 plate S Line - pretty sure its called home function?...i think!. Stays on after you have locked the car to.
Quite funny as people look at you odd as you park your car and walk off with the lights left on - a girl at work chased after me as she parked behind me...
Ok so this will give me my rear speakers back, but i cant see how it will make the phatnoise work? as when the black connecter is removed from the headunit and the blue cd changer cable is plugged in - it appears to acknowledge the phatnoise is attached however the phatnoise does not give you...
the ground on the changer end is connected im sure, i will need to check it (this was installed for me i have not installed it!) - so you thenk the blue connecter head un it end is wired correctly? to use straight in the headunit then?
Hi all - hope someone will help me out here, i have a 54 A3 sline 3 door, i bought a new phatnoise off ebay which i beleive is a vw one as the connector is rectangular(?).
The changer cable i have is rectangular on the boot end which fits to the phatnoise nicely! - however the headunit end...

Crikey you got a friggin bargain!! we paid a lot more found it hard to find a good spec car in colour we wanted and to be honest i looked at some serious dogs!!!.

Had black wheels on my norfolk mustard elise - looked the nuts just dont want to do anything to chav like!!! to our car to detract from value!.
I would not buy after market wheels i would have my own re finished i would say.
Thanks for the reply though very helpful.
Ah haa!! thats a good start - thinking about the standard s line wheels in black...unsure if this i a good move when i come to sell the car - would i really limit my sales audience?!
Hi all - well almost made the choice on a black s line at last! can anyone out up a pic of an a3/sline with black wheels?.
I love black wheels on cars - im just not sure if its right or not on the A3??
Over to you guys...
Thanks.
I know i expect a lot, but when you speak to people and they say "my car is mint..."..."unmarked leather..."..."just serviced" i kind of have high expectations...
Its only 2 years old....when i bought my focus rs i looked at one car only it was mint...i bought it! simple.
Just really...
Another complete waste of time!! travelled over 80 miles to see a 'mint'car with stoine chips all for bold tyres and scratches all over it!.
To top it off the guy takes us out in the car and we realise he drives like a tw@t.....
Thanks for wasting my time...
This is annoying i would...
