My mum's just bought an A4 cab and I was gonna help her give it a good detail. Was wondering what the best stuff is to clean the hood with? Does anybody know if there are products for conditioning the hood with as well? Any help and advice would be much appreciated folks.

Thanks for the advice. I actually bought some poorboys ssr2 from u a couple of months ago, but had no joy using it by hand. I'd expect an order for some menzerna polish in the not 2 distant future then.

Was looking at getting one of the ultimate polishing machines and was looking at the kits you can get. They come with the sonus DAS polishes. Was wondering if these were any good, or if i'm better just buying my own polishes seperately. Has any1 got any experience of these polishes?

seen the a5 at my local audi garage. looked well smart, even although it was a funny grey/green colour with tan hide. was a very nice layout inside. Also sat in the r8 while i was there. it's the nuts. Saw the salesman shifting it and it sounded very sweet!!!!

I managed to find some for a beemer on ebay, they're slash cut and fit spot on (well, i did need slightly longer screws to fit them, but they look good) I think this looks like them...

Was thinking about that, but most of the decent sanders were almost the same price. Thought I'd be better going for 1 with a proven track record. Was also concerned about getting one with different osscilation speed, incase I damaged my paint.

prob a lot hotter in dallas than over here in aberdeen. I reckon that plus the heat on the black paint must make it cook on pretty quickly leaving etching. either that or the birds are on some sort of strange diet. :)

I'd recommend autoglym 2. Between that and the clay bar I managed to get all the tar spots off my car. If there are any that don't seem 2 be coming off, dabbing them with petrol works, but be careful and make sure you wash it all off.
