Well fuel pressure regulator was replaced with brand new(3 bar).
Hooked up fuel pressure gauge and it showed only 1.5bar.
Bought brand new 4 bar fuel pressure regulator but the fuel pressure raised to 3 bar.
On the other hand the car now stars cold with no problem .
I'm still curious why with...
It's been 2 hard hard years with spluttering, hard idling and pops and bangs in the morning. I've so many threads, changed many parts and still no result.
No fault codes in VCDS.
Parts changed:
-fuel pump
-fuel filter
-fuel pressure regulator
-spark plugs
-coils(red tops)
-crank sensor...
Here is a homemade 76mm inlet for LHD. 2 silicone elbows - 51 -76mm; 76 -76mm and the metal pipe(76mm) needed to be bend a bit in oval shape due to master cylinder pipes.
Here is my homemade TIP. 1 elbow 76 to 51mm and one 76-76mm. Pipe is 76mm too that needed to be bent a bit because its a really tight space down there.
Had the same problem... New EGT is not cheap but worth changing. Will fix MPG and car performance. Changing is quite tricky and after changing it relocate the plastic modulle which is bolted under the inlet manifold because heat from the mani affects it.
EGT tend to fail every 5-6 year due to heating issues. I`ve been driving for 6 months with broken EGT and my average consupmtion was 20mpg(11l/100km). After buying new EGT fuel consumption massively improoved - 32-35 mpg travelling around 80km every day.
One more thing Tuffty the codes for the second lambda shows after 2 starts. I clear them with my phone immediately because I don`t like that check engine light :wink:
