I imagine the OP is referring to the 8P A3 range, as they had round vents. Our vents on the 8L do just prise out. Be gentle though. Old plastic these days is brittle!
This is a genuine Audi wireless phone charger. I bought this for my facelift Audi S3 because my original had stopped working. However, my mat was not actually broken, but had stopped working due to a conflict between the aftermarket amplifier I had connected up to my radio. I’ve since removed...
For sale is an aluminium glovebox handle for an Audi A3, S3, RS3. Some vehicles are fitted with a black plastic handle so this makes a great upgrade.
Handle in very good condition - removed from my Audi S3 with 60k miles.
I can provide Elsa fitting instructions if required. Very simple, just...
For sale is a pair of interior door handles from my facelift MY2017 Audi S3 three door in excellent condition. They have the little slot inside and the tab connectors to affix the ambient lighting LED (not included). They were removed from a RHD vehicle with 60k miles, so the central locking...
Just thought I’d add my two cents to this project. I wanted to do this mod for ages. It annoyed me to look at a blanking plate and also, it’s handy for your passenger to also be able to lock/unlock doors if the driver leaves the car for any reason.
I did some research and with thanks to this...
Do you have Bose? Easiest way to tell is to look at the subwoofer. If it has two speaker cones on it, then you have a Bose setup. If it has one speaker cone with Audi rings, then you have the basic audio setup.
If you have Bose, the cabin speakers are all driven by the Bose amp in the cubby...
I experienced similar on my 8L last year.
I replaced the temp sensor (green thing in the coolant flange) and it made no difference. My car would get up to 90 after a long time but then start dropping. Turned out to be the thermostat in the end.
I’d replace thermostat and temp sensor if I were...
A picture of mine at the Vorsprung show, Leicestershire, last month. A freak rain shower during the afternoon made the water bead off nicely. I still love having this car!

Oooh well you need a working brake light switch first of all, so get that replaced/fixed. When the brake switch signal is implausible or hand brake light is on, the Haldex won’t work in 4WD mode. I know your problem is the opposite but to have a fully working quattro system you need that brake...
Definitely worth replacing the thermostat as you say but I’d also do the coolant temperature sensor as well. That’s the sensor located on the top of the coolant flange which is situated on the gearbox side of the engine. After that, refill and bleed the cooling system and go from there. Head...
I fitted one to my car actually and I’m still really happy with it. I was initially concerned about the safety aspect of doing this type of “mod” but the new cover is the same as the old cover (same markings and stuff all inside). I’ve kept the original cover though if I want to revert back...
What exactly is your problem?
Replacing the Haldex controller for a known working replacement cured my issue.
I had a fault with my Haldex system where it was engaging permanent 4WD (max clamping pressure on the clutch pack within the diff), which results in crap economy, and bunny hopping /...
