Looking to get my07 1.9tdi remapped. It's the 105bhp version. I've read that it can be taken quite far (160bhp) but I have some concerns. 1) the car is on 80k+ miles. Is it safe to tune this? Is it going to grenade itself as soon as I boot it. 2) as I'm new to this malarkey I'm not too sure...

Just to add to that, you don't need to take the climate control out. If you have a long enough socket extension you can get to the two bolts holding on the two triangles.

Not sure. Its 12v but don't know its current handling. Fairly safe to say it can power a couple of LED strips, not sure if it could do a phone charger, they draw a relatively large amount of current no?. Im guessing you would be better off running power from the cig lighter for that purpose...
