    Returning to Audi

Hi all, Returning to this forum after a 4.5 year exile in Bavaria - currently have a 2016 M Sport Plus 420i which I've really enjoyed owning. Gone back to an Audi this time (had an A3 previously) as I got a new job recently, and the majority of my driving has changed to from B road bashing to...

Long delays for new orders due to WLTP emissions testing

After 2 weeks of rather back and forth with my dealership I finally got a refund on my order, which hasn't spent much time in my bank account as it's gone straight into a deposit on a BMW Approved used 420i M sport plus. The whole thing was sorted out in a couple of days and I pick it up next...

Long delays for new orders due to WLTP emissions testing

Yes, a lot of people have cancelled by the sounds of things. I don't blame the dealership for the supply problems, but I am frustrated at the fact they don't seem to be particularly concerned about rectifying my situation. I guess they would rather I cancelled as it stops them making a loss on...

Long delays for new orders due to WLTP emissions testing

Have now completely cancelled my order and kind of wondering what to do now. Dealership offered to look for alternatives for me but haven't managed to send me a single suggestion/offer over the past week despite me repeatedly chasing them up, so sounds like good deals at the moment are thin on...

Long delays for new orders due to WLTP emissions testing

It's easy to get frustrated at the dealership (and for sure they could potentially do more in terms of chasing up orders) however given all of us are experiencing the same problems after going through various channels then it's abundantly clear that Audi have screwed this up big time. I'm...

Long delays for new orders due to WLTP emissions testing

Indeed. Following today's news I've cancelled my order and asked my dealership to offer an alternative car that they have in stock at the same price. If that's a 3 series (he said they had stock) I'll take it, and I never previously considered a beamer over an Audi.

Long delays for new orders due to WLTP emissions testing

Phoned up dealership on Friday, they said they'd contact Audi to find out my exact order status but got the indication I was still all good for 28th September delivery. Logged into my portal today, delivery date now showing as 31st July 2019. Let's just say I am currently following this up...

Long delays for new orders due to WLTP emissions testing

I got another update from my dealer yesterday and the anticipated delivery is STILL 28th September, although they still haven't given me written proof or even an order number.

Long delays for new orders due to WLTP emissions testing

I think the offer of locking in the order price is hardly anything to write home about, that shouldn't even be part of the discussion when considering how best to make up this ****-show to customers. I am considering being very ambitious and phoning them on Monday to ask them to change my...

Long delays for new orders due to WLTP emissions testing

Wasn't that the case with the B8/B8.5 too though? My Mum's '13 A4 had a really dated looking interior compared to my '63 A3. My perception was Audi seem to use the A4 and A8 as the springboards for most new technology/designs, with the rest of the range following suit. The mid-run facelift to...

Long delays for new orders due to WLTP emissions testing

Sorry to hear that, that's a really sore one to take... I'm sort of expecting something similar to happen to me in the near future.

Long delays for new orders due to WLTP emissions testing

Feel your pain - I'm now needing to service, MOT and almost certainly change the rear brake pads on my A3 :D

Long delays for new orders due to WLTP emissions testing

It sounds a bit churlish, but one of the main reasons I don't want to end up getting a facelift is the facelifted 2.0TFSI will have those stupid rectangular exhaust vents rather than two pipes. Can't stand them!

Long delays for new orders due to WLTP emissions testing

Have done just that, thanks. Its very frustrating that dealers don't really seem to know what's going on. Also I noticed that spreadsheet refers to MY19, which I presume is a 68 plate here in the UK. I think it's already been discussed on these pages but aren't all MY19s supposed to be...

Long delays for new orders due to WLTP emissions testing

According to that spreadsheet someone shared above, my 2.0TFSI Black Edition is down for a BW41 (Early October?) Yet I was informed by my dealer on Friday that I'm still on track for a 28th September delivery! I feel like someone's telling fibs... :)

    PCP Advice (2 v 3 years)

There's a belter of a thread on PistonHeads (currently at vol 6) detailing all the best lease deals as they come up: https://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&f=255&t=1754204 There is a good starting point, you'll also get a feel for all the main lease providers. Can any PCP'rs advise...

Long delays for new orders due to WLTP emissions testing

Checked my portal today and my expected delivery date has been put back to the end of September. Why do I get the feeling this won't be the last time it's delayed :(

Long delays for new orders due to WLTP emissions testing

Ordered on 1st May mate. I can see that Audi updated the status of my order on the Select portal on 7th June (i.e. after the regulation change) which appears to be a good sign as if there was likely to be a significant delay then it should have been highlighted then. I still don't have a...

Long delays for new orders due to WLTP emissions testing

Phoned the dealer today and asked for an update on this. He couldn't give anything concrete however he did say that it's likely if there was a delay in my order resulting from WLTP then he would have been contacted by Audi by now. So taking no news to be good news, hopefully my order has fallen...

Long delays for new orders due to WLTP emissions testing

If that's true about the A5 then their market research team should be sacked, considering how popular the previous model was in black edition guise.
