2.0 TFSI Known Oil Consumption problem - 2015 ongoing thread (2009-2011 models)

Good luck to all those now experiencing the engine failure on this thread. Just remember it's not a 'selected few engines' their all bolloxed!!!! Iv moved on but Audi still haven't resolved this! My faith in Audi has gone however I wanted a proper fast car that wouldn't burn oil. You listening...

2.0 TFSI Known Oil Consumption problem - 2015 ongoing thread (2009-2011 models)

Read this forum and decide if you can't go through the repair process. If not walk away. I loved my old audis but the current vag models are ****! Hand built engines are the way now and no Audi still wouldn't keep up. Bye Audi - Hope those in CS are viewing! All those conversations trying to get...

2.0 TFSI Known Oil Consumption problem - 2015 ongoing thread (2009-2011 models)

Audi UK changing tactics then to bide time. The oil is weighed, sealed then reweighed! Isn't that what an oil consumption test is? Mine had a small bar left on the mmi but was confirmed as using 0.8 litres during the 621 miles. Me thinks Audi are definitely taking the **** now and glad mines...

2.0 TFSI Known Oil Consumption problem - 2015 ongoing thread (2009-2011 models)

Still can't believe Audi are looking for personal contributions towards the piston and ring repair! You should be totally ashamed Audi UK!! The B8 TFSI engine is inherently floored and making excuses about the oil that's been put into it affects the rings is absurd!! Good luck to those new...

    Bye for now..

Thanks all!! I have owned it three weeks and I'm still in awe of the blistering performance and looks/attention it gets. A modern day affordable supercar that will beat a Bugatti Veyron to 62mph. I love it!!! What else can you say..

    Bye for now..

As the thread states it's goodbye from me after nearly 11 years as both an Audi owner and audi-sport member. I will pop in from time to time especially as my TFSI Oil Consumption Thread is one of these biggest world wide on the subject. Anyway I've decided to move on from my bad experiences and...

Hi all, I havent been on here for a quite a few months however there's a reason.. I have been sourcing my next car and as I have talked about in this thread it's unfortunately not an Audi! Therefore I will only be popping in from time to time. I would like to say that this thread has helped so...

2.0 TFSI Known Oil Consumption problem - 2015 ongoing thread (2009-2011 models)

Stu, Great choice of Audi! I still think my cab below was the best built too.. As for future ownership I will certainly be moving away from Audi unfortunately due to the way I was treated over this oil burning fiasco! Looking for a certain vehicle that does 0-60 in 2.7 secs..

2.0 TFSI Known Oil Consumption problem - 2015 ongoing thread (2009-2011 models)

Another weird question I was asked by Audi UK seperate to the vehicles history was how many Audis I'd owned previous to this and for how long! They knew I had already registered an Audi cabriolet and TT previously!! Basically I told them this would be my last one - Funny enough the call came on...

2.0 TFSI Known Oil Consumption problem - 2015 ongoing thread (2009-2011 models)

Audi are using the full service history trick in a way of making owners pay towards a rebuild/new engine. They even tried it on with me and my car has full Audi main dealer history! Try your best to prove the oil met Audis specification at the previous servicings. However that may be difficult...

2.0 TFSI Known Oil Consumption problem - 2015 ongoing thread (2009-2011 models)

Excessive oil consumption causes oil pressure problems with the cam chain adjuster and tensioner: http://shopdap.com/2-0t-fsi-timing-chain-chain-adjuster-and-chain-tensioner-problems/ As mentioned above this is becoming a common failure. My engine rebuild included the modified parts as...

2.0 TFSI Known Oil Consumption problem - 2015 ongoing thread (2009-2011 models)

Hi Ryan, Almost certainly the cam chain tensioner has failed due to the excessive oil consumption and trashed the Pistons/Valves. Persist with your case at Audi UK and you should see a more positive outcome. Don't get fobbed off.. TFSI owners reading this that haven't yet done anything about...

2.0 TFSI Known Oil Consumption problem - 2015 ongoing thread (2009-2011 models)

Yep it's Audi UK that look after you and not the dealer!! My car was eventually fixed at Cardiff Audi and my experience there was shocking. Read my review! I wouldn't use them again ever! Not only did they insist I was at fault causing the oil repair (my wife was there too) they also took over...

2.0 TFSI Known Oil Consumption problem - 2015 ongoing thread (2009-2011 models)

I'm after a 2011 model onwards matey.. They benefit from the extra 70 bhp (now 542bhp!) and servicing is increased to 12 months not 6. Needs to be an unmodified black edition in white! Car insurance is £600 a year too :yahoo: I'm not picky...
