Did some more testing today on the grossglockner in Austria together with an Audi RS3 8V.
With cooling the discs were 41*C and the RS3 8V without cooling were 119*C.
After 20km's of downhill from the Grossglockner the temperature with cooling was 143*C and without cooling >250*C.

Hi guys, I just wanted to show you what I've been up to lately. I've made an carbon air scoop to provide the brakes with more air so they will be cooled better. Mainly the RS3 has this problem, but also the TTRS doesn't have the most perfect OEM brakes (understatement).

Indeed plastic would have done, but carbon is more brittle. Although the scoop is only 15mm IF you would hit something this carbon scoop will shatter and not rip your skid guard out underneath your car. That is why it is made of carbon and not from sheet metal or anything else.
