Thanks for the replies guys; if I was to do it, it would only be to get the facelifted centre console, updated head unit & switches etc. - I hadn't actually considered the seats but I suppose I could do this too... just really testing the water at the moment though..
Hey Rich - a VERY long time :D Things are good thanks mate - would you believe I'm married with a little nipper now.. seems so long ago that we were having that curry with Phal.. err I mean Phil! :D
What are you up to?
No it's not the right part - the part for the A3 has the hazard button as part of it, so you'll see the red triangle on one side of the relay.
Best bet is to go to Audi and get them to look up your car on their system - there are at least 2 variants of the relay so at least you know you'll get...
I had to change the relay on my A3 (1999 1.8T) as the indicators were flashing, then not, then all over the place.
It's an all-in-one unit along with the hazard warning switch - not too difficult to replace, and from memory about 30-35 quid from an Audi dealer :)
I reckon that will do the trick!
Hi guys, getting ready to upgrade my headlights to the one-piece design.
Some time in the distant past, I chanced on a website that sold ready-made harness adaptors to convert between the two headlight connector styles - the round plug and the oval/rectangular one.
From memory I thought it...
I've just checked the official Audi UK Press Release website, and there's nothing on there that I can see - could be a leak or a rumour but it's not official (apparently).
Thought I'd add to this - I got my cable from Kufatec today. The lights on/off and ignition on/off work perfectly :)
You still need to enter the code though - it doesn't solve the SAFE problem. And seeing as I've lost my code, I couldn't find out if it works with the DIS :(
Thought this...
Ah OK :) Maybe I've remembered the connector the wrong way around then - I thought the pins were on the headlight and the holes were on the loom.. D'OH! etc.
Incidentally I've found an ebay seller in Germany who are selling facelift headlights for 100 Euros (approx), and a loom adapter for...
Heheh! So how does your multiplug connector fit then if there's not a corresponding socket for the pin in the headlight - surely it would stop the multiplug from clipping together properly?
