I had the same issues with the rear disks they were three years old photo attached. The rusting/scoring was definitely effecting brake performance. I would get them changed ASAP. I had all four corners done and fluid changed as brakes were getting spongey.
Lovely roads up to Thurso from Inverness I drive it twice per week from Loch Lomond all the way upto Thurso for work. Unfortunately those pesky caravans are allready starting to build up!
Unfortunately I think the state of the roads has gone too far estimates have the repair costs to get the roads up to standards at tens of billions. Local authority council roads will end up in the worst state as they simply don't get the funding anymore from the government. Better get used to it...
Hi could you tell me how your 1.5 tfsi performs I'm thinking of getting a new A3 with that engine.
What's the drive ability like torque wise is it ok for over taking swiftly? What some of driving are you doing city, motorway etc and how's the mpg because of this?
Tyre woes
Got two new Conti Sports on the front a few months ago. Last week took the car for its service and they told me the tyres are close to being worn allready in centre tread after only 6500 miles!
They reckon the tyre place had them over inflated and I haven't thought to check the...
Driving hundreds of miles per week has keeping the exterior of the car looking clean near impossible and it's something I have lost interest in over the years.
The monsoon doesn't look too bad when it's dirty anyway compared to some other colours.
Nope remap doesn't increase insurance as much as you might think.
This year my insurance is much cheaper due to being 26 yr old so will be getting a 2.0 soon.
The guys who have remapped are all well aware of the TD1. Really don't know why people take it upon themselves to mention it on every single remap post as if they are taking the moral high ground or something.
Nope mine pulls from the lower revs right past 3000 where as it used to tail off at about 2700.
You could ask them to have a look at the software they put on it.
Can't go wrong with a Seamaster. All the diving watches are built like tanks I intend to wear my rolex submariner 24/7, if it gets damaged it can be fixed I bought it to be worn same as yourself.
Too right I had to wait three months for mine as they are in such high demand. One of the reasons I bought it was due to them holding their value for as much as 10 years.
