Well, this just won't. Have been there with screwdrivers. Have kicked the panel. Have hit it hard. Nothing works... And as you see, it has been awful beaten up..
A problem: I can't get the hatch panel/cover back the right way. It's one clips that just won't get in all the way. Is there a tool for this or any tips to get it right?
I have now installed the lights. Recoded with OBD. But the left inner light won't light. Neither before or after the coding. Is this a coding problem or probably a connection problem somewhere?
Edit: I fixed it, was a connection problem.
Another question. Is the number plate cable one or two cables? One for each light and should I connect one from each inner light to these separate number plate cables? Or is it just one cable and both inner lights cables should be connected to this?
Ahaaaa, I think I understand the photo now.... What looks like a eyelet is actually that you have split the threads with a needle.. Still don't understand what cable that is. It's not the grey cable from the number plate loom.
A needle? I don't see any needle in any photo. And in the photo above with the wires like a cross. Which wire is what? Is the above wire the number plate wire? And how come it's the end of the wire?
So I should cut the grey wire from the license plate, strip the ends, and preferably soldering it together with the two grey wires from each inner light adapter?
Yes, it sounds complicated, haha... "Tap into wire for left and then join wire from left to right."
How do I tap into the wire? I would really like to see pictures or images of this process. The kit I'm gonna order is with grey cables. Don't see any grey cable in the image I got from the...
I have actually seen this video before. But still didn't understand how to do. You never get to see the real finished connections. Just something looking like this, and don't really understand what happened with the gray cable and what will happen with this art afterwards:
I need more...
I know this thread is years old but, I'm now considering "facelifting" my rear lights and are researching on how to achieve it.
This is the only big tricky part I worries about. So, I really want to sort out how to do this. For example, what did you mean with
? What loom? And exactly how is...
