Just get a set of Vredestein Wintrac Extreme tyres and fit on your standard 18" wheels- brilliant. Approx £650 for 4.

    Tyres for A4 B8 3.0TDI SE Avant

Thanks folks- yes it is a quattro- and wet weather performance is terrific. I have 10k on the clock now and engine is loosening up. I will add Toyo to the Goodyear and Vred shortlist. Other thoughts- Drive Select set to Dynamic is v impressive, but you wonder whether Audi has de-tuned the...

    A6 avant suspension

I had Koni FSDs fitted to my A6 Avant 2005 2.7TDI SE with 17" wheels, at 45k+ miles, and the FSDs made a big difference to body control and improved the ride. Tyres for A4 B8 3.0TDI SE Avant

My A4 B8 came with Michelin Pilot Sport PS2s. Great for grip, roadholding, braking, but road noise and comfort are v.poor! With the 3.0TDI engine being so quiet it only makes it worse. New A6 Avant 2.7TDI; ride issues

It is 'restless' on ripples, undulations and normal road bumps- somewhat spoils the otherwise smooth power delivery from the impressive V6. Admittedly it doesn't roll much though!

Checkout the new Koni FSD dampers; they seeem to offer a solution at not too much cost. Go to www.koni.com. I have similar probs on my 2005 A6 Avant, and am considering...

New A6 Avant 2.7TDI; ride issues

My Avant 2.7TDI on standard suspension with 16" wheels is still a very firm ride on the back lanes of Aberdeenshire. The new Koni FSD dampers look a possible solution. Has anyone tried these yet on this or any Audi??
