Are these cars free of the oil pump issue, or is it still a risk buying one? The car is a 2011 model, so probably one if the last of the C6 chassis.

Its a B7, one of the last ones built. they probably had a number in a compound waiting to be sold and registered. You see the odd one on auto trader from time to time.

i have an issue which started tonight on way home. the rear wiper started to move from side to side but wouldnt stop . after about 5 mins it stopped for a few minutes and started again. anybody any ideas ?

I have a B7 1.9tdi BRB engine code, i cant find where the temp sensor is. I have changed them on the older AWX code engine and it was always next to the bulk head but cant find it on this. can anybody help ?

I cleaned my EGR Valve tonight, it was full of soot and gunk, made a big difference to the car..

I am looking at a B7 1.9 tdi tomorrow, it looks in quite nice condition although the advert is a bit vague. is there anything apart from the usual stuff i need to look out for ?

thanks for the replies, i think the temp sensor is playing up as its the old black type. i was going to replace it last year but couldnt get it off..

Just wondering if anybody can help. when i start my car from cold , the cooling fans come on straight away and stay on for about 10 mins. its only just started doing this, so no idea why.

i have a B6 A4 1.9TDI 2003 my battery is on its way out so needs replacing. The old battery is a cheap brand and looks really big. just wondered if anyone knows the replacement i should be looking at as there is lots of choice and different sizes. thanks to anybody who can help

I would like to change my old B6 for a 2008 B7 Avant. i fancy a 2.0 TDI S Line but the oil pump thing scares me.. would it be best to buy a 1.9 TDI or get a late 2008 and get the conversion done. i will be looking for something with low mileage.

is it better to have the mod done or just get a 1.9 ? i have seen an S Line 2.0 TDI 2008 model but the hex key thing worries me

I am going to look at a 1.9TDI Sport tonight with a 6 speed gearbox.. The VW Passat Sport which also has a AVF engine suffers from bearing issues in the gearbox.. Does the Audi A4 version suffer from this ? Thanks to anybody who can help..
