Steve, when you say cylinder what exactly do you mean by that? Like a glow plug? Something like that? I spent loads getting a new flywheel clutch etc and ****** off it wasn't even that haha... Mines a 1.9 tdi asz engine
Did you solve this mate? Same issue thought it was dmf but still happens on cold starts for about 30 seconds as if the flywheel wobbles makes the car sway one side to another very lightly! Replace clutch flywheel csc etc slightly improvement...
All sorted now guys was definitely water causing the problem, the sensor connection was soaked, dryed it out unplugged it for a day and it's been okay since. It was the bung letting water through cause of the cold weather. Sealed now though so all good! Thanks again everyone
Dom, thank you didn't think anyone was going to reply. Really appreciate this can you confirm the sensor is where the wiper motor is behind the boot trim? Hopefully there's part numbers so I can find a new part as this is really annoying when I'm driving keeps coming on and off! Thanks for...
Guys needing some help probably a straight forward fix but whilst driving on the dash it constantly saying that my boot is open little icon flashing. when it's definitely closed, I'm thinking the sensor on the boot is broken can any let me know if they had anything like this before?
Sweet! That's the sort of news I'm looking for haha thinking of selling it soon to upgrade but thought no one would buy it if they seen the coolant ******* out and creamy stuff on the cap! Hopefully I find a buyer like yours moisty! What sort of mileage was it at?
Guys thanks for all the advice I had a bottle of that k seal laying round there's like 500 5 star reviews about how good it is spent 8 pounds on it ment to help with it if in doubt let me know I don't mind sending the link I'll keep you posted and over the next few days to see if it works but...
Ahh okay well unfortunately it's only the 1.6 model! 1.8T is next on the list for me!
Well I'm no expert but took it to the garage before and they did some really bad job at trying to fix it if anything they messed it up even more! Heres an old picture of where it's leaking. I'm thinking it's...
Sounds about right my coolant is slowly leaking aswell but I'm not sure if it's leaking inside the engine or outside as I can see a few drops around the temp housing... Don't think it'll be worth fixing the gasket if that's the case :(
Guys so I have an engine fault when I scanned with vcds, EGR intermittent fault and fuel trim bank.
If someone could shed some light on this please, I've search but not found anything successful. vw/audi specialist told me it'll be 300 quid and they will just replace the EGR.
My question...
I'm not very clued up with garages where I live, rang ETS they told me 140 for it which is double the amount! I personally thought they'd be cheaper. Is a vw/audi specialist worth checking with?
Thanks for letting me know! We tried gripping it with some pliers but like you said defo wasn't easy! Garage said they'd charge me 70 quid for it do you think that's a reasonable Price?
Thanks! Was unsuccessful got the strurt out easily compressed the springs and forgot there is a bolt holding the top mount in place didn't have an impact gun or anything to loosen the bolt, couldn't find anyway round it so just put it back together. Gonna have to get the garage to do it now...
Legend just keep them in as it's like a nut to secure the bolt?
I owe you one lol, still a noob and gonna attempt the brake pad sensor and full suspension change(hope I don't f it up and my strut comes flying out whilst driving)
