I got you. I had the cover off already and saw where the door handle / bar fits into the lock. It looks like a right ****** to get to, I'm not blessed with small digits either.
These locks are known failure points so I don't really want to get a used one...surprised there's not a ready supply...
My drivers rear door lock has given up, it opens ok from the inside but won't open when pulling the outside door handle. I've reached the conclusion the simplest solution is to replace the entire actuator mechanism, which seems to be a fairly common failure on these cars. My previous golf has...
Do you tend to drive short distances ie less than ten miles at a time? These cars need a decent run regularly to clear out the dpf. If you're not doing the miles to regenerate it then dpf removal or change it for a petrol is your best option long term.

I believe there is a maximum number of times they can be re-cut as well, possibly as low as twice. I had a set of diamond cut alloys on my old golf 5 and ended up getting them stripped and power coated as they wouldn't re-cut them. The refinished wheel was not very resilient anyway and one...
Nope, was a guess/ something to eliminate. Should have followedfollowed with
Was just a guess, should have followed it with a question mark. Have had similar symptoms before though on another car.
This part of the tyre exists to protect the alloy rim from light curbing. It is a sacrificial design though you seem to have sacrificed quite a bit!
Personally I'd change it for peace of mind.
