Ahhh the order day! Nice one Chazz...I'm not going to comment about the colour as it is totally personal. I got Quartz Grey and I love it. Just to tell you that I expected my car to arrive late July and I took delivery 28th June....so....be prepared...it might be here sooner than you think. Mine...
Hey Lon...By Sport you mean S-Line I gather??? If you do...I found the S-Line ride too hard but the SE unacceptably non confident in corners. What I did was order (I know not possible for you ) an SE with Sports Suspension and standard 16" wheels. The car turned out to be just perfect. Excellent...
I would drive both and then decide...also you might get them to give you the car for 24 hours or so...much better than a 20 minute test drive with the saleguy sitting next to you.
I was going for the A3 Sport. I drove an A3 S-line and it was way too harsh for me...again a matter of personal...
I would say make sure you try a few brands of cds. Not necessarily music ones...and the other thing you can do is burn at a lower speed. (Eg 8x or 12x)...Also make sure you burn at "Disc-at-once" mode rather than "Track-at-once".
I had the same problem with my home cd player (£1000 quad) and...
Amm...you might want to check for leaks...I've had a couple of friends + myself run out of steering fluid...and it aint pretty!
Also Slick 50 makes a good fluid that stops small leaks (or at least claims to)
theose pretentious high end home HFi systems that don't have bass or treble as "they are not needed".???
Dude...you need to listen to some good hifi before you say that!
PM me if interested
Hi there....I don't exactly understand what you mean by "option for DVD Sat Nav +"...
As far as I know the bluetooth car kit is a stand alone extra you add on when you order the car. I have actually ordered it and in the UK it comes as a package with an armrest and multifunction steering wheel...
I see what you mean...but as I said...when I drove the S-line it felt way too stiff for me...
In any case..the way I thought about it was...i can add the 17inch wheels later but not the sport susp unless you go aftermarket lose warranty which i don't want, as I am keeping the car a LONG time (7...
Thanks....Since writting the original message I actually drove a B6 sport (i.e. 16inchers and sport suspension) and thought it was a great mid way solution...
I called the dealer and changed the 17 inchers (sniff...they look good ) to sport suspension and the standard SE rims (16 inch).
Now...
Hi guys.... finalising spec for my car...has anyone ordered/driven an A4 with sports suspension on standard 16 inch wheels?
The S-Line seems to stiff while the standard SE seems to soft...wondering whether to add 17 inchers or sports suspension...any ideas?
Hi there.
I have a 97 A4 with the same problem. So far I've had the everything bar the ignition barrel changed (including ECU and got new keys too!). Still does it intermittently. Car dies after 2 secs and immobiliser lamp flashes....after which ECU lamp flashes and I have to get it to a stealer...
Is it an S3 you have???
If so do you even have a throttle cable or is the throttle electronic (it was on my MY2001 A3 1.6 so I assume...)
Regarding the creaking...I have a similar thing and it turned out to be one of the rear dampers....and the funny thing is that it wouldn't do it over big...
Ahhh... I think I know what you need...
I had an A3 while living in Cyprus (2001MY). Now the interesting bit is that due to the poor spec of new cars there, the car came with no factory radio...and a cover on top of the radio "hole". (fascia piece if you know what i mean).
Now. if you removed...
Did you accidentally switch off the trip computer screen???? You can turn it back on by pressing the reset button which is on the bottom of the wipers stalk...
