I have a leak from what looks to be the base of item 6 in this diagram - from my research it's apparently common. I was gonna try nipping up the M6 x 22 socket head bolts first. Any recommended torque settings?
cheers.
Is there a way i can test the operation of this valve and make sure the solenoid is working, plug it back in whilst unfitted and start rev the car? or put 12volts across the terminals or something??
I would have looked at the vac pipes however there doesn't appear to be any, this diverter valve appears to be electronic?? How does that work? Does it work of pedal position or something? I just haven't got a clue.
Thought I had this solved, after reading its likely a diverter valve fault (dump valve). I've took my old one off expecting to see a damaged diaphragm but it all looks fine?
Can anybody help here?
Hi,
got the flutter sound happening when letting off the throttle, so took my diverter valve off ready to replace with new one. Is there a way I can perform a check on my old one? I've noticed these are electronically controlled and not working off a vacuum hose as I used to see in turbo cars...
Straight forward job... Should have been. I'm now 1 bolt short where the heat shield/cover plate separates the drive shaft and exhaust. Turned out the guy didn't use the little tabs that retain / stop the bolts falling out and now the bolts on a slip road somewhere!
does anyone know the correct...
Hi,
I believe to change the 2007 S3 exhaust (2 piece turbo back) it requires removing the driveshaft? Is this true? Is that a straight forward job?
Cheers in advance
Did the magnetic check too, I found that all pipes and both large boxes (mid & rear) were non magnetic - suggesting stainless. Cat and smallest box as well as the chunky bit straight after turbo connection were magnetic - suggesting non stainless.
Thanks for your input guys.
Going slightly off topic but how have you found the miltek? Any issues?
oh and Audi service technicians says the standard exhaust is Stainless..... Hmmmm
Yeah I get what your saying, my point being that its naff that it clashes with the handbrake full stop, should be free of clash no matter where in its travel range it is.
from the response it's not just mine. So I guess I'll just have to live with it.
