There are so many variables in the difference between different engines and cars in the A4.
By reading the post there is only 10mpg difference, best I have achieved in my 272 is 57 mpg but it was in Holland, driving round cumbria it won’t do that .worst I have see is 38 and that’s drivING to...
Most good "coaters' would polish the car first to remove any marks or swirls before coating some don't that's why t £1200 cost as this could be 2-3 days work with drying times of the coatings
If you are going to get it done ,do it before you even pick the car up .
I waited 12months nearly any...
I've had mine coated professionally best thing ever.... stays clean and looks superb.best money you could spend ,no more polishing etc should last 2 years then just a top up ,also stops a lot of Swirls.
Join the 272's I don't know anyone who's bought one as been disappointed ,nice to try back to back though
It's that effortless low down torque that dose it for me ...good luck with final decision.
Haven't read all above ......272 all the way to the bank they drive superb
Buy the car you want not the one you can afford,I know that sounds mad but regret lasts along time......I've been there before .
If you were travelling along in say 4,5,6 ,if you floor it it will take time in an auto to change down if you engage kick down as it used to be called in an old auto.
If you did the same thing in a manual it would take the same time to change gear or possibly longer.
We have become inpatient as...
Poor driving if you are having to floor it out of every junction,my 272 seems way fast enough for me and I don't hang about
Drive select saves fuel by slowing throttle response I believe.
Even Citroen 2CV can get out of junctions it's all relative speed you know
Just saying .......mines superb.
Back from work .......
I think people have answered their own questions here ,if performance is similar then ,in my opinion I would have the 15 mpg ,thing is if I drive carefully that's nearly 20-25 mpg more .
I agree rs4 lot faster it's worth it as it's in a different league altogether.
Wot's the point of a sporty car if you have to drive like granny......
This why I bought a 272 diesel you can blast round not worrying at all and still get 46 mpg and I don't believe that over the ground there would be much different' s between the s4 or the 272 diesel at all .
