I have just got my car back from Audi after they fitter cruise control for me and also checked the cam follower for wear. They also replaced a screw that had come out of the exhaust heat shield.
Since I have got the car back I have noticed an ever so slight stutter in the power delivery at...
I have just had the KMD uprated cam follower fitted. It could all be in my head but it seems to have made a difference. Had 4 people in the car yesterday including my dad (110+kg), going up a hill in 3rd and planted it, seemed to pull stronger than before. Could it make a difference or is it all...
I have just spoken to KMD directly. There revised cam follower does include a DLC coating so there is nothing to worry about there. It seems their old version did not have this coating but they have since revised it.
After my OEM cam follow broke and damaged my cam shaft I have felt it necessary to inform everyone that there is an uprated part to avoid this ever happening. KMD make an uprated cam follower out of the same material that the OEM cam shaft is made of, hence reducing or stopping wear altogether...
I get around 6k to 8k on a set of tyres.... It seems to be normal. Something to do with all those torques! Though I'm running 350lb/ft so fast tyre wear is to be expected. On a stock S3 though..... Bit odd....
I know how you feel! My K&W V3's started squeaking really badly in the winter. I took them back to AmD and got them replaced under warranty, I'm sure you will be able to do the same. Its not about noisy expensive coilovers!
Lol! That was me mate. I remember seeing you at the roundabout. I had a college in the car so i couldn't floor it and catch up with you (the college doesn't like going fast / side ways round corners!) Was really good talking to you on the phone earlier. Keep me posted on your mods!
Dont get the single mass fly wheel! The clutch system wont like it and it will slow your gear changes massively! AmD is currently talking with Sachs about the single mass flywheel and the fact it doesn't work with our clutch system. Sachs are being less than helpful and saying that the slow...
On holiday and the car went to AmD to get the clutch and flywheel changed over to check for faults. My Sachs clutch and flywheel are now at Germany being looked at.
Just dropped the car off at Audi this morning to have this clicking noise sorted. Got a call this afternoon from the service manager saying it was the wheel bearings that needed replacing. All ok, no problem, all done under warranty! Yet another thumbs up for Tonbridge Audi!
I have been running the car on the V3's for some time now and it doesn't feel right. There is too much roll and sometimes to little feedback.
I have dropped the car 25mm which is the lowest I want to go right now due to my driveway.
I am looking for a firm, solid, low roll ride. What would...
