For what it's worth i just replaced version C with version N. Mine is a mid 2007 Special Edition so the same engine as your DTM (220bhp). I didn't replace the breather hose (not sure what you refer to by that tbh)
Just a quick update, the car is having some tests done a week on Tuesday. The garage are checking the turbo and pumping pressurised air in to the cylinders to see what happens. They also mentioned a smoke machine that highlights blockages, leaks and breathing problems.
We had the pre-heaters done on our A3 tdi 140. The engine check light came on then, not the glow plug light. Didn't effect the running of the car though so your's could be injectors. A mate had this prob with a Golf tdi and got some injectors from a breakers yard for next to nothing.
Almost afraid to contact Audi. I might call my local dealership and see what the service manager says. He will probably say bring the car in and we'll look at it. Cha Ching.
Cheers for that. If the new Audi version doesn't make any difference on oil use I'll consider one of these. Looks complex though!?
So far the car is running better, low rev pull is way better with a much smoother tick over. It's quieter too even on the motorway, the exhaust used to be quite...
Fixed. Version C out Version N in. Car feels better, smoother and let's hope the oil consumption improves. The old PCV was gunked up and didn't have the rattle of the new one.
Hi all,
I think i have may have a faulty PCV valve on my 20tfsi A4. Oil around the rocker cover and coil packs, small amount of suction on oil filler cap, when the oil filler cap is removed the engine stutters and then stalls. Tickover is a little lumpy but always has been
I also have...
Hi all, thanks for the comments. Castrol seems to vanish quicker than Mobil 1. I've tried the VW branded stuff and halfords own brand and they all last about 600 to 800 miles a ltr.
I'll check the coolant though (sidibear) to see if it's contaminated.
I'll have to live with the oil problem as...
My oil consumption has gone through the roof over the past 6 months, using 1ltr every 600 to 800 miles.
Car is a 2.0 TFSI SE SLine Q, 2007. Do 50% M-Way 50% A and B roads. I do boot it now and again but mostly stick to med revs. Car runs like a dream, no loss of power, sounds as good as it...
Can anyone reccomend good quality LED sidelight bulbs for my B7 TFSI? I tried some from Demon Tweaks but they would not light up at all but didn't trigger the bulb out warning (very odd).
2.0 tfsi Sline Special Edition Quattro - 4 years and 57k of not resetting the DIS = 29.9mpg. best ever was a trip to Lancaster last month, 70mph on the M6, 45mpg. Worst ever, trip from Manchester to Holmes Chapel when late to collect my son from school - 17mpg!!!!!
Macc Audi quoted £89 for front pads, £44 for rear - double what you can buy them for on-line. All i need to to do now is take one out, measure it and check the fitment, as there several possible matches at Micks Garage....
Audi Brake Pads | Audi A4 Avant (8Ed) 2.0 Tfsi Brake Pads (220 hp, 1984...
The downside to pilot sports is the circa £200 price! I am about to order some for the front as they are on the limit and the cars doing that annoying clunking thing on full lock that all quattros do when the tyres get low.
