Yes it's pretty common, it's the catch mechanism freezing. Spray some lubricant on the mechanism and should be fine
well because I knew the v3 is thicker and I've already had to weld up my v1 downpipe that I got from xspower because it cracked

the s3 rack is the same as the tt one, count how many turns it is from lock to lock, I think s3/tt is 2.7 and normal is 3.5 turns
