From memory the mirror just twists off it's mount 90 degrees anti clockwise. I got the power from the light.
The RNS-D is a very very rare option. If you get a car with a symphony head unit it is not too dificult to fit the RNS-E.
Try a reboot...pull the fuse.
Or do a swap with someone doing a single to double DIN conversion...expect to get some cash for the exchange as well. Then sell the RNS-D on Ebay.

CD bus cable is normally in the boot so best place is the boot as glovebox is too small.
