Ive just messaged TTE enquiring anout the cost, if it turns out to be around the same cost i may reconsider whether its worth doing it all together and just buying an s3 because really i dont want a k04. It defeats the object a bit and when you add up the cost of the car plus a k04 conversion...
Im running stage 2 at the moment, with a R-tech stage 2 remap producing 278bhp 328lb/torque which is strong for just a stage 2 but i want a bit more without changing the pipework, if there isnt a decent k03 hybrid to get then along with an upgraded fuel pump what other mods can i do to increase...
To be fair your 100% right the TTE420 is the best option but its not plug and play due to it being a k04 hybrid, do you no any suggestions of k03 hybrids, product numbers would be great!
Hi everyone!
My car is currently stage 2 and I want to take it that little bit further without doing a k04 conversion.
Can anyone recommend a good K03 hybrid or somewhere that manufactures turbos. Id rather a straight bolt on bolt off option to save changing pipework and other things.
Thanks
hi guys,
I am running a stage 2 r-tech remap. Mods are forge twin air intake, s3 intercooler and full exhaust system, revision dv and sparks.
Since the remap when i go over a hundred the car looses all power and just goes limp until it seems like pressure builds back up and i can accelerate...
What size clamps have you used and what make are they?
Is there any guide on how to do this i.e what pipes to cut, where to cut etc etc.
For such a common mod (using s3 pipes) im surprised there isnt any thing out there.
I spoke to forge and they said the s3 pipes will be to big for my car...
I dont no wether the piping is different on the tdi but last thing i want to do is get up to r-tech for the boost pipe to blow off as soon as the stage 2 map is on there
Just been to audi to buy the rubber o-ring but looking at the diagram on his computer im going to need to buy new hoses from forge with the couplers on the end of the pipes as i dont want to be modifying the pipes further into the engine.
I purchased an s3 intercooler from one of the members on this forum which came with the s3 pipes. I have uploaded the picture of the pipes. To me it seems that they are missing the couplers? Am i right or is this how they come.
The one thing the member did say was that he had taken the rubber...
Just wondering how you fit the s3 intercooler pipes to an a3 2.0tfsi and what you need to do this..
Ive used the search button!! Lol but cant find any guides could someone point me in the right direction please.
Thanks :grin::grin:
I cant seem to find one second hand anywhere but im thinking once i buy the intercooler and the pipes and couplers im probably going to ne looking at close to 400 anyway
With a 100 pound difference is this coat justified?
I have a 2.0tfsi 2wd getting ready for a stage 2 map but at the same time looking to keep the cost down where possible.
Thoughts....
