Hi John, You were correct, had the component protection removed this morning from a local Audi Specialist, £30+VAT and took about 10minutes.

Just to update this for others i took the car to CT Cars in Horsley who specialist in Audi/VAG. Charged me £30+VAT and completed the job in 15mins. Really good service and happily recommend them and will be bringing my cars back to them whenever needed.

Hi, Wondering whether anyone can shed some light on this for me. I've had a airbag light on the dash and the "passenger air bag is off" illuminated constantly and took the car to Audi who confirmed that the airbag module appears to be the issue. Found other people on here with similar issues...

Thank you for your reply, very much appreciated. Looks like the sensor is very easily replaced so i'll get on to that now, see whether i can get a good price for one rather than main dealer. Would you expect there would be anything needed to reset or do on VCDS after the sensor is replaced...

Anyone have any ideas with regards to Air bag light? I'm taking from the above codes that the Differential Pressure Sensor and A/C Pressure Sensor need replacing too.

Futher reply from Carista: "Audi changed the protocol for manufacturer-specific OBD communication around 2009. Most adapters use different type of communication, so we cannot implement support for now. Let us know if you have any more questions. "

So, run through with VCDS. No code at all for the air bag. Thinking maybe it's a faulty switch as there is no change when switching between on and off in the glovebox. I did get codes for DPF and air con. I wonder whether someone can help me diagnose what they mean and how to resolve :-S Think...
