Hi every1 I’m new to this forum, just got myself an 2004/04 Audi A4 1.8T S-Line Avant Met Silver
i traded ina 53 plate 2.2 SRi vectra and £5000 to get it at the price of £7000 with 88,000 on it. Good deal I fort?

It looks amazing but the one thing that I don’t get is on the front grill it has a Quattro badge? the advert dint say it was a Quattro just an s-line?

also I don’t want to go crazy but someone said I can do a small upgrade to make it a lil bit faster but also better on the fuel? its 190BHP atm!

Thanks People!

Here she is!

very tidy mate. a remap will give you a small gain for little money.

thanks, still that quattro badge is a funny one not sure if the car is a quattro

probably just a badge, it should be lower on the grill, you should also have one on the back and one inside the car. anyway one easy way to find out is to floor it in first you will spin the front wheels if its front wheel drive.

when u lot say dump the clutch do u meen rev up to 4000xrev then let the clutch fly up?

Does the car wheel spin? or just lunge forward really quick. if you cnat get it too wheel spin it may well be a Quattro

Also if when you set off it feels slightly like the back end has something funny going on or the handbrake is still applied, thats normally the feel of a Quattro!!

I love mine to bits, cracking cars!!

im not sure... again to test this out do i rev high then let teh clutch up fast while adding more gas? anyhow if it is a quattro does that meen i got a bargin at £7000 ?

Lovely car mate, but i'm loving your photoshop skills more!!! :applaus:

As for the quattro, can't you just look under the car and look for a rear diff?

As for price, I have no idea mate. I have an older, more mileage, and tdi A4 so dunno what prices they go for, ha! Someone with more experience will answer that though.

a rear diff? lol i put skim on walls not play with cars! haha

wow my first audi :) very happy here is my old car! nice upgrade! i also have a 03 traffic (van)

it would be on the log book if it wer a quattro or look underneath at the back you can see the drive shaft if a quattro

nice car ,
but dont be dumping the clutch at 4k unless you have the urge to be fitting a clutch its not a definate but not advised ,
if you cant look underneath and see drive shafts and diff at the rear then just wait till its wet turn off the traction control (EPS) and accelerate hard off a junction
no need to hammer the clutch just accelerate hard if its FWD in the rain it will spin up the wheels at least the inside one anyway , if its 4WD it will dig in and go with out too much drama

Whats you Dash trim on your Passenger side look like? above the Glove box?

That is not a quattro. If it was you would have 3 quattro badges on the front, rear & on the trim above the glove box.
Have a look in the front of the service book if you have one, and it will say, otherwise look for a sticker in the spare wheel well.
Yours is Akoya silver.... Nice.

yeah it no quattro as i looked in the book,,, some put a badge on i guess.. i bet u get some people puttin rs4 on a s line just 2 make it look worth more lol

Don't worry, FWD is more fun anyway! :superman: The quattro is too much like a roller coaster. (of course i'm not biased, and if i had a quattro my argument would be very different!)

Hope you like the car though mate, I love mine still just as much, if not more, after 6 months of having it.

Oh, and crazypainter...apparently it's kingfisher/pelican blue. There aren't many of them around, but it's a lovely colour.
