hey, anyone know what i need to retrofit cruise. how difficult is it to do:think:

I had mine done by VWCruise, didn't seem that difficult while I watched them, vag.com and a new stalk + cowling was about it tbh.

you will need to know what module you have to see if its compatible with cruise.
vagcom will tell you this.
if you have the correct one then as niknak says, cruise stalk, no need for new cowl, your cowl can easily me trimmed to suit. and code the car to tell it it has cruise.

i wouldnt !!!! recommend vwcruise, way way to greedy.
have a go yourself , if not get some off here to do it for you , will work out alot cheaper

I agree they are expensive but it is horses for courses if your handy go for it, if not then get an expert to do it....

cool is the stalk an ad on to the one i have or is it a whole new stalk, when i check with vag com how will i know if the module is compatible + what do i go into to check, thanks for the info

Before you plan which Sunday afternoon you'll do all this on, check the 2 things that tripped me up - the torx driver to remove the bottom cowling needs to be LONG!! I had to trim the plastic off the handle of the halfrauds one I bought. Also, on your dummy run to test your torx driver, check the marking for where you need to cut the plastic on the inside of the cowl to allow the stalk to protrude, this wasn't there on mine, had to buy new pre-cut cowl from the stealer.

Awesome do a deal on E-bay £249.00, so should be costing you around that.

Everything you need for the job and full dis is forsale through me if you're interested?

just checked steering module its ending in F, anyone know whether its suitable
