Hi, I have recently took delivery of my 2010 S3 and got told some bad news when I called to book my car in to get the REVO fitted. Not sure if anyone has anymore information on this but the guy at my local REVO dealer informed me that all S3's or Audi's in general that have been built in 2010 have a lock in the ECU which does not allow any type of chip/remap to be put into the car. He told me that the ECU could be removed from the car and sent down to the REVO headquarters as they can deal with the problem but a solution has not yet came up for the local dealers to unlock the ECU.

Any information on the above would be great.

Thanks, Gary.

i belive giac can flash through the obd port on the new ecus, but i dont think revo can...... yet

Hope REVO can do it soon as I have all the hardware for the stage 2+ waiting to get bolted on.

im sure its under construction but i think they can flash your ecu when its disconected so its not all bad if you could do without the car for a while

Giac can also go stage 2+. I hope when you say local revo dealer you dont mean checkpoint the halfords with a different name they are totally useless

I had stage 1 done last Monday or Tuesday, at a recommended Revo Dealer from their web site, it is a 2010, I have had it a month, and I know it has only just been built, they had no problems, I did mention that I had heard the same, he did not know anything about it, and said lets see, I watched him do it, he remapped it with no problems

Its not all MY10 cars that have the issue. Some do and some dont. Just get the ecu code checked first. If it is a problem ecu then it can be sent directly to revo to me mapped or you can drive down there to get it done.
