Hey well first off, I'm 18 and from California, I just got a 2002 Audi a4 3.0 as my second car. Its bone stock atm, but I have plans in my head that I'd love to execute as well as get some help from you guys and your pit of knowledge. First thing I'm doing is purchasing the rims of an B8 S-line off my friend, rims and tires 900. Maybe get spacers with those? Yes/no?

Eventually I'd like to get them powdered black. Following that I'd like to get the S-line valences front and back as well as side blades. I've read I could just pick them up from a dealer; if thats true can I order them pre painted? Or would I have to visit a shop to do that.

Other things include black out the grill, and further down the road LED headlamps, i.e.

But I'm confused as to how those work, because currently the only settings on my light switch are: parking lights, headlights/headlights + fogs/ headlights + fogs + rear fog. Would the LED strip just come on automatically or would I have to order a euroswitch?

welcome to ASN Chris... nice motor you have there... I wish I could have afforded the insurance and tax on a V6 lump at the age of 18... ah well... my guess on the lights would be that the DRL's would be wired with the parking lights so that when you switch on the parks the DRL's will come on also (thats just a guess mind)... my advice on the lights though would be to save your money and do the joey mod ---> (http://www.a4mods.com/index.php?page=webcontent/pages/joey.html&category=3)

I think your other plans and ideas are good... stick with the OEM audi stuff... s-line kit and wheels etc... I would also lower it... it wont look right with spacers if its not lowered...

also get some more pics up...

I got all excited then, I thought finally a white UK B6 owner on here......!

What the offset of the B8 wheels? I would use spacers to alter the offset to 30-25 ideally, but it may need lowering as mentioned. The S-Line bits are certainly available from the UK dealers, so I assume it would be the same with you. They will come unpainted though and you will need a bodyshop to colour code them.

The DRL's should come on with ignition, completely independent of the vehicle lights. I'm really not a fan of the aftermarket lights myself though......
 
This is the info he gave me regarding the wheels, 8x18" ET47 5 / 112. 66.6mm.
I was going to get it lowered, how much do you think that would cost me? Can I just ebay the springs and get someone to do it for me/do it myself

Hmm, how much would it cost me to get the valances painted white, and I'm assuming the color is audi's polar white?

Also another pic, was thinking about debadging the "a4" and the "3.0"

Idk what is wrong with this, it seems to be off to the left side whereas the other tip is centered, any ideas?

hi chirs i debadging mine looks much better as for your left Tail/Tailpipe they are just held on by Rubber Mounts and they just strech after time
so do not pull it over to where it should be. but there is a very small chance the back boxs has not been put on strate so just pop your head under and have a look here

:sign_welcome: Chris, I believe the s-line kit, is referred to as the ultra-sport kit, in the states! if your asking dealers for parts ...
I can give you the part numbers for the bumper valances...
 
That would be much appreciated because I just called and they quoted me for the part I already have I think. And he didnt know if it was the s-line or not.

Front Bumper; PU8E0 807 110 BG RU.
Rear Bumper; PU8ES 807 521 FG RU (Please note mines not a V6 so single tail-pipe, you need to ask for this with twin !!!)

Front fog Light grill Right ; PU8E0 807 682 D0.
Front fog Light grill Left ; PU8E0 807 681 D0.

After you've had the parts colour coded, the rear bumper valance will clip straight on to your standard bumper once you've removed the standard valance.
The front one won't ,there is some trimming to be done at the bottom of your standard front bumper ( nothing visible) in order for the s-line valance to fit,
GOOGLE search ( MATT DEVO AUDI A4 ULTRA SPORT LOWER BUMPER RETRO FIT ) He's posted instructions along with helpful step by step instructions !
then you just need to get the sills colour coded and get the s-line door blades, I bought mine from a breakers yard so haven't got part numbers for you....

also ive never heard the word breakers yard, im assuming a salvage yard or something? lol

No your original, slatted fog grills won't fit, you need the s-line honeycomb ones...
salvage/breakers, same thing, just that when there's damaged cars available for parts then it's a breaker !!!
