Well not really new, I've had the car just over a month now. Really liking it, (especially the saving on fuel :))
Having had a RenaultSport Clio 172 before this, it was a good change, and for the miles I do per week, a sensible one.
So much better than the Clio, build quality, ride etc all great! I do miss the rawness and fun from the ph1 172 and will own another in the future.

Anyway the A3 is the 2.0 TDI 140 bhp version. It has 66k miles, FSH with Audi.
Gave it its first proper detail today, spent 4 hours on it and it came up really good.

Method used:
- 2 bucket method
- Washed with AG Shampoo
- Rinsed and dried using waffle weave
- Clay bar'd (i dont think it has been clayed before)
- Rinsed again
- Engine cleaned with AG Engine and Machine cleaner
- Polished with AG SRP
- Waxed with Nattys Paste Wax

Comments Welcome,

No Plans for it yet, although I am considering Eibach Sportlines, New wheels, new clean plates, and maybe vinyl on the grille.

Nice one, defo go for new wheels, look great on RS6's :) Just shows up how much I need to get mine cleaned!

I give it a week before you research your first mod!!:rockwoot:

It has come up well fella!

Good work

Yeap now your on ASN you're well & truly fecked for money lmfao

Leave before it's too late or get in debt!

Now on a serious note, you're gonna love your car even more since this passion is highly contagious.

Yep, ASN is eeevvviillllll!!!
It's just made me modify my car in the most extreme way.................. I swapped it for another one!!!

Looks really nice. I still think the double grill is just so much better than the modern one..What did you use on the black bits under the bonnet ?

used Auto Glym Engine and Machine cleaner on the engine bay :)

As to modding, I can resist mods LOL I spent enough on the 172 Clio.

Just out of interest, what mods would people recommend?

Ha Ha, I just want opinions on what other people have done, etc.

Ill mod within my means lol

Me and nigel are the WRONG people to be asking man!

Yeah feck that, dont ask me thats for sure & secondary dont ask Nate as he's just as bad as me, lmfao, infact he's now made me find several other mods for my car tonite from an S8.

You see I'm the tech whore 8P guinea pig of ASN as Khufu seems to reference me too, lmfao.

yeah, now N8's got me, damn I say this, but looking at 19's, he's chemically induced me into a sheep shagging wheelwhore, somebody help me, lmfao

the first things im going to do (listen to me already) is paint the calipers, new reg plate (maybe 3/4 plate), i want to fit a cd changer in the glove box but need a guide/advice on doing it.
Also 09 rear lights, are they straight swap or do i need to re-wire etc?

****** me, my week estimate was miles out!!

More like 1/2 hour

rofl!

I've rarely ever worked under the bonnet (having been concerned about water damage) , so was interested to know what your process was there. Are you covering up water-sensitive parts and going at specific areas with the AG spray and cloth or are you just spraying cleaner all around the bay, wiping and jet washing?

Yeah I sprayed the AG on the engine cover, and plastics trying to avoid anything I didnt want to spray. Cleaned with a sponged, wiped with a clean sponge and rubbed with a microfibre.

I dont think I'd do anything with a jet wash though. It only took me 5 mins tbh.

Next thing to do is the arch liners

Nigel makes me sit in his car then just simply hand over money to him so that he can buy my steering wheels and RNS-E's :(

Actually the monies for my company, pimped out by Nathan
