Cheers in advance

chris

Lamin-x is an american company.. they only get sportback A3s.. the tails on sportbacks are completely different.. I got a sportback... :whistle2:

Oh man didn't relise they didn't have hatch backs :-( u wanna buy some light smoke rear tints? I've fit all the front n can't beleive how much better it looks so easy to fit as well, will order a universal sheet to do rears then :) can also do 3rd brake light then too

I ordered mine last Monday n come today, just fitted them n it now rainin n they seam fin, I used a head gun while fittin them so there are well stuck

All I did for mine was:

put car in garage
dry lights
clean lights with water
dry lights
lightly mist with water
slide covers in place
use heat gun to lightly warm them usin a tea towel to smooth them out and remove all bubbles, lightly warm to help evaporate water
trim tabs of edges of covers
job done :)

all aplocators n spray bottle n instructions are Inc In package :)

ordered a set of headlights n fogs for mine and it took 3 weeks to arrive! ah well got them now... just havent had time 2 fit them :(

do you have 2 have a heatgun to install them?

what about the plastic squeegy thing which came with it?

U dnt need a heat gun but dies make it alot easier and also speeds up the process for dryin, the plastic squeegi is the little while plastic thing u you use it to remove bubbles bit I prefer to use a cloth so it doesn't mark the vinal. I'll get a pic upof mine

ordered mine last Sunday, Still waiting. Mine must be on snail mail lol!

a cloth alone or with the plastic squeegy under it?

i watched the vid of it on the lamin x site which makes it look easy as hell but just dont wanna feck it up by starting then finding i needed a heatgun then end up with bin material haha

haha i felt the same but when the package arrived it only had the 1st half of the postcode on so musta got erm... lost?

ah well got it now although 2 weeks in i felt like i had got robbed!

Chris, send me the rest of the lamin-x you're using for the rear lights

i need to do my ones

Don't forget to post pics when they're on as well, btw

I've just got this email
Hello Sally,

Your Lamin-x is on the way! (Order#: NOOB placed on 3/25/2010)

Tracking information here:
https://www.lamin-x.com/orderdetails.asp?OrderID=NOOB
You may also use the preceding link to review your order details or print an invoice
How long after this email did you receive yours?

My laminex came yesterday, and I received the email Monday last week. So around a week :)

Tint mate, rears will be the same asap:)

Do you reckon the tint alters the intensity of the headlights Chris ?
I am tempted to fit as well but would not want to affect the amount of light getting through. However in saying that I have a touch like an elephant, so my attempts at installing stuff like this inevitably ends up in disaster !

Apparently it only reduces it by like 5%

Ye the light level reduces by 5% but IMO makes no noticable differance,

Also after that email I received mine 3days later,

also received that email again last nite for my rear tints however with the bank hol weekend I'm expecting them late next week

2006 - onwards unused sportback lamin-x rear light tints for sale £40 posted and quick delivary tint level same as pics above pm me if intrested

Cheers chris
