avus wheel colour?

Thinking of getting my 17" Avus refurbished and finished in a different colour, not sure what to go for though. Ive got a black S3 so was thinking of something stealthy:ninja: Anyone done this to theres? Or got any other suggestions?
 
I've got a black S3 and just had mine done in gloss black last week but they'll be changing again very soon ;)

You got any pics mate? How much did it cost you to get them done?

I was thining matt black or anthracite grey :cool:
 
Gun metal looks really good on dark cars. Ive refurbed a few of my friends alloys in dark gun metal and in matt black.

But for avus alloys I prefer it to be in anthracite. My silver A3 has avus alloys in this colour.
 
Anthracite for me too :)

Black is going to look too dark on a black car, might as well have 15" steelies on it :)
 
When i was thinking of doing mine i was going to get bronze.... Something about green and bronze mmmmm

Haven't got any pics at the mo as i'm at work but will show u tomorrow morning. My friend sprayed them for me as he's good with that stuff! 2 cans of Hammerite smooth black for 8 quid each from Halfords, 800 grit paper for 2 quid and was all good! :) So yeah... didn't cost much lol

Haha, why so anti silver? I think it looks lovvvvverly, there is a recipe for a nice looking car and one of the ingredients for a nice looking dark colored car is bright wheels :icon_thumright:

Well maybe im not a very good cook :p I really wanted to get some 18" RSTT's but as my Avus wheels have got pretty much brand spankin new tyres on, it would be a waste of money. So i thought a refurb in a different colour would be the next best thing

Go nuts then, paint them a crazy color and if you don't like it just spray them back?!

a few hours later (I didn't even take the back ones off, just sanded and sprayed them on the car haha)...

Its only paint at the end of the day, just go for it! I went nuts with a rattle can of satin black, sprayed my badges wipers, wheels, lights, exhaust, rear brake drums and calipers...everything! :happy:

Thats how I know you need bright wheels on a dark car hahahaha!

Pfffft, yeah my hatred for half cleaning is pretty immense. But I wanted to get a couple of photos in before the sun went away!

This is my girlfriends A3, which I drive daily. After a pretty massive write off in my 205 GTI I'm back on the save for another Audi!

Previous Audi's...The coupe was a tuned up 8V, and the avant was well tunes with billies all round, ARB's, strut braces, stainless exhaust and Recaro interior (alongside my 220 Turbo)-

But I've had everything from a 320BHP Saab 900 Turbo to a Saab 95, a stupidly nice Mk2 GTI, a mapped 20VT Passat Sport, a load of classic Saabs, a Lotus Eclat, a BMW 635CSI....32 cars and I'll be 19 in April...good times, shame I'm not selling cars for a living anymore!!!

Oh, I just thought you wondered what Audi's I'd had haha! What with being so young I'm always out to prove myself, 9 times out of 10 I do it pretty well but its the 1 time I make myself look like a **** that people remember! :icon_thumright:

And I'm quite proud of the cars I've owned, so I don't mind hijacking a thread to show em' off a bit haha! :happy:
