A4 110 TDI Quattro Avant, cost of owning?

Is the total cost of running/owning a A4 110 TDI Quattro Avant much more the a standard 110 Avant. I can't make up my mind on whether I should wait and save the up the extra cash or just stay with my original idea and buy the A4 110 Avant.

Comments & advice appreciated.
 
ive got a quattro mate and the difference is amazing, its so controling on the road, the back end steps out before the front when pushing really hard
 
Thanks for that, sounds great fun. Bit of a sad question but do they cost more to run and service over a standard A4 TDI? I would be looking for a 97/98 model.
 
no nothing much more on them!

i suppose if something major went wrong than yes, but a lot better car for only a bit more money!
 
I'm sure the cost is much the same till you consider mpg?
 
well ive got about 20 miles more to a full tank, using this Tdi saloon FWD, compared to my Tdi Avant 4wd so yea 20 miles mate!

Would that bother you
 
Soz, though there was a bigger difference with the mpg of the quattro - what with all that extra weight to cart about?
 
no mate look at the book figures, for the 130 vesion they are very similar!
