Could hear something beeping before, looked out the window to see my alarm going off.

When I got downstairs both windows where half way down and i'm 100% positive I didn't leave them like that.

Any idea's? Worried now about leaving it outside my flat tonight :bye:

Could you have leaned on you key, holding down the open button. This will drop the windows and if you don't open a door, the car will lock itself again. This will reset the alarm, which will then be triggered by just a breeze through the open window.....I should be on CSI!

Sounds like thats whats happened to me. I've done it myself a few times!

I had this on my '99 1.8T. The dealer checked it out and found no problem. Seems that the key was in my back pocket as got pressed by mistake as suggested by Terrier QTS. Never happened again. Hopefully it'll be a one off for you too.

My first thought was that of terriers

Must be really sitting on your keys, has to be held for a while.

Not so good if a pikey walks past your car, then sees the windows going down, takes that advert (the one with the cd's and wallet on show) to a new level.

Hopefully thats whats happend then !

Its snowing now so be even worse if I wake up tomorrow and my cars snowed in.... literally lol

Happened to me when I first got the car. Put it down to me holding the button down before I knew what it did.
