Hi guys wonder if any of you can help me... I skidded in the snow other week and hit a kerb with front driverside wheel, I bent my steering rack arm and had to have a new one fitted,, had that fitted and then i had a grinding noise which was the hub,, so i replaced that and also the wishbone just incase that had been bent,, My wheel looks like it is not straight, it looks pushed in more at the bottom, what do you think i have damaged? i keep hearing a noise like a clunking ? do you thing the hub carrier may be bent or the actual leg my need replacing? If the leg is damaged i think i will just buy a coil over kit for it, so if any of you guys have the Audi A3 3.2 with a coil over kit on could you send me a link were to get one from..... Cheers guys... Are the Suspension legs the same on all the other 8P models?
Thanks Again.:tocktock:

Its hard to tell without looking. Have you had the alignment checked? The hub carrier is a sturdy bit of metal, I'd be surprised if it was bent. The shocker insert could however be bent but it would probably stick as the suspension compresses.

I had it tracked after having the new steering rack arm put on.. The leg is creaking like mad when i parking the car up.... when i am turning the steering wheel i can hear noise.... sounds like the top of the leg and it annoying me now.. a mate said i may have bent my steering rack? i hope not!

Funnily enough i did exactly the same thing over Christmas. My car is currently being repaired at Audi.

I wasn't going fast but the car slid into a curb with the wheels at an angle. It bent the track rod arm and some suspension components.
I don't know exactly what parts Audi are replacing yet but it's all through the insurance. It's sometimes impossible to tell what's wrong with the steering rack until you start taking the car apart unfortunately!

Hope it's not too expensive anyway mate.
