The standard ones fitted to all A3s are heated. I have a set of the heated ones for sale for £30 including postage. I have tried them and prefer the standard 3-jet ones on the latest A3s. If anyone is interested send me a PM.

Seems to be 2 lists going on here - I thought i was no.17 ? :think:
 
I was originally under the impression that the washers being supplied were to replace the A4 ones and needed to be heated? Believe I was quoted for non-heated parts.
Anyway I have paid the difference to get the Heated ones.

Amended the list according - also added those where the list got out of sync - hope everyone is on who should be - Please check?

are you sure standard ones are heated?

this looks like just the hose to me, no wiring....

yep... mine.... pic taken 10mins ago, in my drive.

no complaints since mine have never been frozen when I've tried them, but I guess being a few inches behind a coupl eof hundred kilo's of diesel V6 probably helps...

I was under the impression that we highlighted it ourselves when we'd paid. And double that on wanting to know when the rough delivery of these is.
 
depends when PJMSpeedy has a finalised order: once finalised, if he places the order early in the day, he normally seems to have the parts the next day and sent out again fairly quickly, so probably 2-3days total turn-around.... he said he was wanting to place his order on Monday, but I'm not certain if he was waiting on any stragglers....

edit: as per crazy88's comment: I just reposted the list with "PAID" after my name to try to get others to move along... trust me (1) this forum doesn;t have a direct link to PJMSpeedy's PayPal account... and PJM is keeping his own list and NOT relying on what's in this thread...

Yeah, I was gonna type that but couldn't be bothered to type so much, as i'm ill today and feeling sorry for myself, lol. I think you hit the nail on the head though about saying we have PAID to move the list along faster.

I am rather excited to fit them, i hate my double squirt jets, one of them is next to useless.

The Heated ones went out yesterday and all the Non heated ones have gone out today..

I fitted mine too.

One tip for everyone else, between the washer nozzle and the water pipe is a 90 deg. pipe bend (labelled "1" in the diagram below). Be careful when you pull the water pipe off the nozzle that you pull this bend off too. The pipe pulled off mine and left the bend on the nozzle, in pulling the bend off the water pipe the end of the pipe split where it was old and brittle. I repaired it ok, but it's a pita and best avoided if possible.

I love how simple they are to adjust! :cool:

Went to fit mine and they are smaller than the Audi ones. Are people fitting them with silicone to hold them in or have you come up with something better?
 
I've used a bit of glue on mine as a temporary hold, will probably use silicon eventually though.
 
yep - quick dab of contact adhesive on the plastic: on the inside, lower (windscreen) side of the new pieces.... then a quick stripe across the back.

I didn't look at them close enough before installing: can somebody just confirm how to adjust them?

Feeling pretty dumb, but would be good to be told rather than just trying and breaking something (or at least undoing the glue)....

Next to the 'fan' hole where the spray comes out is a small torx screw, moving that adjusts them up and down very simply ;)

Spot-on!! I gave it a quick "up-down" wiggle.... looked closer.... thoght "is that an allen-key / torq / audi-custom thread in there?"... but didn't ahve the balls to jsut shove somehting in there and screw since i've got some miles to cover today.... torq-set in hand and i'm on my way out!!
