Advice on SCSM (part - 8E0 953 549 S) -- will this code for CC?

Hi all

I finally got to play with VCDS and my B7 S4 today!
(thanks NHN!!)

I did an autoscan to check out the part number of the steering control module.
I have 8E0 953 549 S in the car.

Can this handle cruise control coding?

Or, am I up for a new 'R' model one?

If the latter - anyone know someone with one for reasonable money? :)

Not sure if "S" will work, but you deffo dont need "R" a "Q" will do.

Someone with ETKA will pop along soon no doubt

They do pop up on ebay regularly and a lot less than £150 or so Audi want for one

I have ETKA, but must be missing something (user error!) to work out dependency and functions of individual parts etc in the program...

oh to be a newbie...
