Hi all! Finally i have found the right car and got a great deal and paid my deposit on a demo Ibis S3 SB. I change from my BE A3 SB 140 diesel into the S3 in about a week i hope. I will post some pics once i take delivery..thanks for all the help and advice so far its been really helpful! :salute:
 
Share the deal, what did you pay versus asking price etc.. ?

You will love it, i have had mine for about a month now and just keeps looking better, i posted some pics a few weeks back, what spec is it?
 
yes Interesting to hear the deal , as some Audi dealers are saying "NO DEAL"

and people on here are getting fully speced cars with buckets and sat nav for less than 28k

Cheers N8. Avus Silver, SS suspension, Tech pack, and the buckets were standard!!! (with "sport mode" which squeezed you even tighter, as if it wasn't bl**dy tight enough!!!). Surprisingly quite a few on the RS forum went for the no-cost option to bin the buckets in favour of the Recaros.
Damn fantastic car. I've now got the Exige but the RS4 'felt' quicker believe it or not.

Wow! Thats weird, cuz every1 I know who has owned/been in an RS4 said they don't really feel that quick. I love them in Avus, similar to my colour Akoya, and the rarest colour for the RS4. Beautiful car either way, bet the Lotus is fun, much mods planned for the S3, whens it coming?

My opinion now having read the threads its cheaper to get nav and bits etc afterwards.
Amazing deal really but i pressed hard. I got £500 off screen price BUT i was given £1500 more than i paid for my BE A3 SB :superman:! Good interest rate, i couldn't not buy it! I will post some pics on when It arrives!
I have tried to buy 3 different S3's in the last fortnight off 3 seperate Audi dealers and i have to say i found all 3 completely different to deal with. Liverpool Audi have been head and shoulders above the rest and i can't recommend highly enough, the other two were a waste of time.
 
Huntingdon and Reading.....just not up for a deal, i felt i was chasing them but Liverpool really made an effort and were all over me but seemed genuine N8.

So what was the window price and the intetest rate, why is it so hard to get figures off any one on forums ?

It would be Exige up to 70mph, then the RS4 would destroy it. Round corners (in the dry) the Exige would be gone.

Supose it's like asking a woman her age.... or somebody you work with how much they get paid. People are reluctant as its quite personel as its a heck of a lot of money for some plonker to then possibly tell them that they have been ripped off and leave a sour taste!!! If said user wanted to tell us he would have shouted about it in his first post. However do feel that there could be a sticky post set up with people posting the prices they paid for their cars so that people looking to buy get an idea of what exactaly is a good deal???

I've just placed an order with Crawley Audi for a SB S3. Spec came to £33400 but I got the price down to £30800. Works out about 8% discount, not quite the 10% other members have got, but I was quite pleased with it.

Funny you say this N8, i'm trying to get a decent deal out of them on an A3 black edition but having no luck at all... to add to this Stockport Audi are being just as bad.....
 
What i will say is i have an A3 SB Black Edition registered Feb 09 with 7300 miles on the clock and Liverpool gave me £22500 for it on a trade in! I know its the overall price to change that is important but to give you an idea, whilst trying to buy an S3 of which there have been a few I have tried to buy in the last 3 months, two dealers offered me £19k, one £20k. The point is that of all the different dealers countrywide i tried to do a deal with, ONLY Liverpool were really interested in doing a deal and in their words "wanted to kick start with a good January" so my advice is to give them a call if you are lookingto change car! Amazing deal really. Every deal is individual i suppose which is why i wasn't comfortable telling all of the figures, i hope everyone is ok with that.

That's excellent. I paid less than that for a new one.
 
wow. 22500 quid trade in , excellent. Don't think Audi Glasgow will match that as i am hoping to trade in my March 09, A3 2.0 TDI, SB, BE with very similar mileage
 
Willmac, your car is axactly the same as mine so i would really shop around different dealers for trade in value. I was offered between £19k and £21250 over the phone from various dealers against different S3's. Liverpool were brilliant though so just make sure you stick to your guns and get what you want! Good luck..

Both are as bad as each other and much more expensive for servicing. Try Macclesfield Audi as the price they quoted me for a 2nd service was significanty cheaper!

Macclesfield Audi it is then!!!! As far as I'm concerned, Stockport Audi can sling it, I recieved a text from them to get in touch, so I did and was promised a phone call back in the next 10 minutes...... I'm still waiting a day later.... Obviously not interested in my business....

To be fair to Manchester Audi, the guy I'm dealing with is spot on, however they hit you with the line "What can we do to get your business?"

Should I just cut straight to the point and ask for a massive discount?

I do sales for a living and it's one of our most common questions as it indicates what the customers budget is and by having that info we qualify whether it's worthwhile having the business or not..terrible I know. I would go list minus 12% and negotiate back up to 10% discount.
