Has anyone experienced issues with battery draining whilst car parked ?

not with my a3 but plenty of times with older cars!

Could have a minor drain from many places to be honest, its anyones guess! Best get an auto electrician to check to see if there is a drain when its turned off, if there is they can normally source it.

Yeah ipod lead killed my battery when i went on holiday for a week ..

Shouldn't drain off, left mine at airport for nearly three weeks over christmas in the freezing weather we have apparantly had and it started fine and dandy....

Having same problem!! My hazard warning light doesn't turn off in the usual 90 seconds, stays on for about an hour! Thought it was down to me changing my headunit but I've just put the old one back in and no change! Battery is new, holds a charge fine when I left it disconnected over christmas and new year!
Such a pain :(
Anyone else have this problem and fixed it?????

Ok thanks to all for ideas. Spent day fault finding and conclusion is [So far!]. Battery drain appears to be due to Bose Sat Nav + system. Even with ignition off the Sat Nav is continuously trying to reboot/reload software from the Sat Nav CD. This drains betwen 2.5 and 3.3 A from the battery continuously. based on 72AH battery [factory] that equates to exhausting the battery in about 24Hrs which fits symptoms seen. For the moment I have pulled fuse on Bose Sat Nav/sound system untill I have more time [probably next weekend ]. There is a mention in the Bose/Sat Nav + manual about only upgrading software [from New CD] when the engine is running as it may drain battery otherwise:shrug:, Sat Nav CD is the one thats been in there for the last 2yrs so unless system has lost its memory and thinks it needs to load from CD its not making much sense yet. Have checked CD reader reading OK [with a normal audio CD] and all is fine. Will see if local Audi dealer has any idea's tomorrow. Let you know progress!

Happened to mine about 6/7 times, they still couldn't find the problem, I have a 2008 rear bumper for sale if you wanna upgrade your rear look?
