Central locking problem

hi all, i need some advice/help

my audi A4 b6 1.9 tdi is giving me these problems

Central locking is not working.... i can lock my car with the key fob but it will not open any doors with the key fob.

i open the car using the key via drivers door then start the engine and unlock all other doors from inside.

also to lock the car from the outside i have to press the unlocking button on the key fob?? and the locking button does nothing.

i have put a new battery in the key fob no luck.

Where can i find this ...had a look at the ones on the driver side panel and i can not find 1 for the central locking
