Hopefully a better picture of both grills, dose anyone know the ideal size for pics on this site, i am using photobucket and the standard seems to be either too large or too small.

Either 640 x 480, or preferably 800 x 600.

Your pics are a bit small! I wasn't sure about my grille when I first did it, but I love it now!

thanks for that James i'll try and resize and post some more

I think it would look better if the lower section had matching mesh. I'd like to change my grill (maybe go Otty) but if it doesn't match/complement the lower then I couldn't bring myself to do it.

I agree i think i might my some black mesh and make a new inner for the bottom grill, need to find some with a similar hole size

I liked it before, black grills can look good, maybe if you blacked the original grill it would look better, I don't like the mesh.

What colour is the car though? that looks lovely!

It's Atlas grey, more pics in my garage section,
Thanks for your comment

Sorry i think the original looks better not a big fan of the mesh! Also again not a big fan of letting that chrome go, espicially if your leaving the rest of the chrome effect around the car?

The grille looks quite glossy, did you use a satin finish aerosol?

Yup thats it! Its too shiny, maybe matt black would have looked better!

The top grill came as is with a shinny black edge, the bottom is just taped out at the moment untill i am sure which look i want, maybe the original again or evan a s4 one

i like the mesh, it would look better if the lower was mesh too.
if it was me id be colour coding the glossy black on the top grill atlas grey to match the car, i think it would look much more suttle

The Bottom needs to match the same style mesh or just matt black the original grill.either way it will look loads better IMO

Hadn't thought of that combination

top and bottom NEED to match... mesh looks best in uber-stealth matt black... much more menacing...

lolsty,
i ment the surround of the top grill, not the mesh colour coded, thats deffo got to be black

Hi guys. New to this site. Will ad all my details and pics:redrs4:. But need to get a centre and fog light bumper grill as I hit a dog! :sorry:and i lost/broke the grills. Bumper is fine. Its just like above but where can i get the grill (cheap)

I'm not sold on this look if i'm honest. I think it would look cool on a black car, but just not sure that it looks like a gaping hole on yours. Just my 2p worth.

Sorry!!

I like it but i did that as well ,
only difference being is i have a standard bumper so all the bottom grills match and the top is mesh ,
i did the top grill as i hate the way it sticks out to for from the side profile where as the mesh grill is sunk into the front more and looks loads better
just my opinion thou ,
also im all for the black out look every one has chrome its just normal and i like the car to look a little different and meaner looking.

looks great, but bottom middle grill is all out because its not meshed like the rest, if you get my drift ?

mmm I like the front end Paul.Looks well. Im temtped with a cupra splitter too. Ill have to take it off if it snows though

Paul - the Cupra splitter - Was it straight on or did you have to modify? Any chance of a straight on picture from the front please so I can see what the fitment is like?

Have to say - it looks pretty damn fine. Nice work.

Hi
you have a little modifiy but its all straight forward and obvious when you offer it up,
the legs in the centre need trimming and when you start fixing start from the middle as you need to work it around the corners
its easy enough to do and for a £20 mod you cant really fault it .

Just trying to recover from a full service, an oil sender unit, Milltek centre sections, and milltek link pipes, and fitting the Millteks and refitting my old wheels in the same month........

Worth the gamble aint it, Im going to have a blast too but not sure how long mine will last with the low front bumper!
