Audi Driver just came back to me and unfortunately they can't make it on Saturday! But they did say that if someone wants to take pics and write a little report on the day then they would try and use it in their mag.

If someone is up for this then PM me and I'll give you the sort of details they require!

Come on eager journalists! This is your chance /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/lol.gif

Got my S3 booked for stage II, see you all tomorrow! Can almost taste that torque!

Ed!

Guys,

Unfortuately i cant make it tomorrow, just told late i have to work.

Well [censored] off about it, typical!!

Who wants my place?? must be some takers out there.

in the unlikely event the current reserves do not cover the vacant spaces i am more than happy to run my S3.

would test my recently fitted samco's.

see you all there.

Sorry I can't/couldn't make it guys, hopefully you have/had enough reserves to cover my place.

Have spent the morning chucking my guts up (dodgy take-away?) and am in no fit state to be driving anywhere today. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif

Maybe I'll have better luck next time...

Mark.

Well a big thank you to you Rich. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/beerchug.gif
That was a great day, I thoroughly enjoyed it.
Great fun in those chipped S3.
I have to say that from what I remember about my drive in the standard S3, I am very impressed by the difference a chip makes
And it was good to put a face on all those weird login name.
BTW RichA3Turbo, you look way too young to drive your crazy rocket. You should leave that to older people like me /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/angel.gif

I was happy with my 317bhp and 270b.ft!

Cheers

Rich

Great day out , thanks to all,

well happy with my results, and shows the samco plumbing hasnt disturbed anything.

Hi chaps, great turn out again for this meet, nice to see some new faces aswell as the old ones lol, marred only by the aweful weather in the afternoon. Big thumbs up to Rich for actually letting me take the Beast out for a run, much more fun being the driver than a passenger /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif and thumbs up to Steph for taking some of out in the V6 A3 very smooth motor indeed, and much faster than I was expecting /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/beerchug.gif

My RR results was 262 BHP and 284 lb torque, will post power plots later.

Bring on next year! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/groovy.gif

Was a good day, good to see everyone for the first time. I think i remembered all your names.

Such ashame about the weather, mind you I don't know if i could have handled Richs driving in the dry.....

Is anyone posting plot graphs up as i would like to compare them to mine as i was there on thursday get my car remapped, came out at 261 bhp 285 lbft, what was ambiunt temps,Ed reckoned that the car would push out around 270bhp outside wasnt to sure wether to beleive that or not.

well that was a good day out, nice to put faces to user names and thanks richA3Turbo for a demo of your beast
it will be nise to see some of the vid's and pic's that was taken, and maybe all the results so we can see how we all did and what chip came out best /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/beerchug.gif

Thanks Rich for organising such a good day,it was nice to meet you guys today .Drive up and back was not very nice especially the drive home in the rain and spray, dodging pieces of wood on the m4.You guys missed my last run ,it was rolling roaded in the wrong gear first time around and they wondered why its was playing up,partially my fault for having a 6 speed gearknob on a 5 spd /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/angel.giffinal run was 224.6bhp and 270.2 lbft /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/dancing.gifresult!Should be even better once the fmic is on and map is redone for ko3s etc. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/beerchug.gifAndy

Good results andy. M40 was a bit crap northbound with the weather as well.
Rich. Good figures M8. Not surprising that you keep up with somonT. I'd still take his rs4 any day though. The noise is something else!

Nice to see some new and familiar faces yesterday - my Stage II went better than I had expected! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Final figures were 273bhp (229.9) and 326lbft (232).

silver s3 ,you must be running some major boost,do you know what it is?I reckon 1.5+ bar.Does anyone know if simon elman made 300hp?

well i am running 1.7 bar on some off key code/chip the i did not know i had, i thought my car was standard and i got 329lbft / 310lbft

yeah i thought mine was standard but it made 268bhp and 263lb/t at 1 bar boost,i think it's a abt chip.So who was top dog after rich?

Simon made about 296 bhp and 340 lb/ft but there was one run where he made 303 bhp or something but AMD said it was slipping so not a proper run (although they did give him two print outs).

I made 252 bhp and 291 lb/ft - I never seem to make high bhp figures on my car, the most I have seen at AMD is 260 bhp on my car. Would be nice to get power at wheels and adjusted losses too.

Thanks to Dicky for arranging this and of course thanks to AMD for putting the day on, providing food etc - it is appreciated /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/beerchug.gif

Big thanks to Dicky for organising this! Was a really good day! Was great to put plenty more faces to names and hopefully see you all again soon... Think another day out would be good for June or so.

Thanks to Steph for leting me drive his 3.2 V6...was pleasently surpised to the drive...Its a bit different to the 2.0TDi model i've also driven. The power was surprising...felt similar to a chipped S3 to me. Thanks to Jojo for a drive of his Chipped S3 also, and to John (GolfTTish) for for the drive of his IHI Golf...was good to drive a car of the similar spec as mine... I know that the power is all as it should be...Rolling road also confirmed this which i was happy about.

Has a truly awful drive upto Birmingham afterwards! The rain and road spray was dreadful! Just couldnt see! Hope everyone got home safely!

See you all soon!

Cheers

Rich

Hi all,

Had a great day at AmD. Good to put some faces to usernames!

Thanks to AmD for putting on food, drinks etc and their friendly hospitality!

I've got the full list of results and will post them up in a bit!

Thanks Rich for letting your crazy brother (his driving i'm on about!) take me out in your car! The power is amazing and the brakes are fantastic! you got a well sorted car there mate...

Right, going out for a curry now!

Cheers again
Rich.

And here are the results!

Its in Excel format so hope you can all read it!

Cheers
Rich.

to clarify , Last one is me.

Bang on expected. made 275 bhp/291 lbft last time in cold conditions.

Mods:

Amd map, Shimmed Amd Viper DV, Samcos (+ recent audi air filter change), and Engine Earthing Mod.

Just reading up on how BHP is calculated and on this subject technical sites say:

Horsepower = Torque x rpm / 5252

So based on this equation then bhp and torque should cross each other at 5252 rpm. On my graphs the curves are no where near each other at 5252 rpm.

So does this mean that this calculation is not relevant for us or the crossing of both curves is not applicable to our session graphs?
