Hi,

Can anybody tell me if there has been any new SW released for the S3 ECU since September 2007? Just bought an S3 and the flash count is 0 so I am wondering if that is genuine and there have been no dealer updates or whether the car might have been remapped and reset to a flash count of 0?

I've had my S3 since Sep 2007 and to my knowledge there haven't been any updates.

I guess the garage could have done them without letting me know as it's been in for two oil changes - they didn't mention anything though.

I did have an update to make my Windows work properly though !

How do you know the flash count? VCDS?

You can find it under the "Advanced Id" function of the engine control module.

And yes lol you are right, very observant. I was wondering if anybody would notice.

Did the dealer flash the main ECU to sort the windows?

Mine needs the same fix, windows have a mind of their own


KRL- Had mine for 18months and no ECU updates (apart from REVOs `go faster` update of course)

My S3 was registered in November 2006 and had a ECU SW update in late 2007 but nothing since. So I would think there's no new SW release since September 2007

No ECU flash upgrades since Sept 07, same date as mine. I asked Audi about this as I'm still trying to cure the awful turbo lag- which everyone else denies even exists ;-)
