what are the pro's and con's, in my opinion arnt much, were as on my leon cupra tdi there was a load of padding etc so was worth it. surely there wont be any sound difference or heat difference as it isnt as big and no padding
 
it took a second off my 0-60....im joking. i took mine off of the actuall bonnet, and even my engine cover for some reason, gonna put it back though.
 
my plastic cover is in the garage....gets in the way and offers not one thing other than cosmetics.
 
I have removed all plastic covers in the engine bay. It takes me a lot less time any time i have to do a job. It may not look as nice but who looks under the bonnet???
 
I like my engine cover....especially after spending so long painting the damn thing!!!

hmm hence why i was asking, i was thinking battery cover gloss black along with engine cover, red v5 turbo, now thats answerd my question, after seen that pic, im going for it,

other option was remove it paint the top of the engine gloss black with red
 
Sod that, 1.8t engines are ugly under the covers, hence why audi go out there way to hide them. Paint the cover if you want it to look fancy?

It does spruce things up a bit but ****** hell it takes an age to do it!!.
 
Its just the prep it takes that took a long time...lots of highbuild primer and flatting.
 
Mate just bought the TOP ENGINE COVER SAME AS YOURS IN PIC....WHATS THE BOTTOM PART CALLED THAT CAN SEE THE OIL DIPPER COMING FROM IN PIC? AND DO I NEED UNDER-PART TO FIT THE TOP?...LOST HERE BEEN 2WKS IN BOOT SO FAR PLZ HELP MATE? 07592 099 410
