Anyone got this ? What do you think? /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif

No, but I have got a TomTom NavIII Bluetooth & HP IPAQ 5550 Bundle. I expect it it does the same business...

Good stuff !

I don't know how much all that kit costs but I just added Sat Nav+ which has cost me about £1,100 including a glovebox changer.

I got Tom Tom Go a few months ago. A great portable bit of kit. A gteat touch screen for entering destinations. V simple to use and portable so you can use it in other cars. Rechargable battery so no messy wires trailing.

I have stuck non-slip matting strips to the bottom and back edge and it is now wedged into the corner of the dasha nd window, in the same place as the pic above.

I have also hard wired a 3 way cig socket into the little area in the left of the drivers dash, over the clutch pedal area and then have got phone charger and TomTom Go charger in here and hard wired so TomTom Go has power all the time.

I have also used the same cig socket for my Snooper S4 which sits to the left of TT Go. I have even wired in my Ipod 40GB 4g too ------ yes I like my gadgets.

It takes me 10 mins to commision and decommision the gadgets when I get in and out of the car.....but at least they don't get seen or stolen this way.

Pottsy - What phone do you have? That photo is really quite clear.

I took the stero out, 2 mins.
Cut the cig lighter part off the 3 way and then fed the cable behind the dash and behind the stereo.2mins
Wired the cig lighter 3way wires into the Acc live feed and earth.( as this is only for very low power consumption this will do - don't do this and put a mini fridge or inverter on or it will start metling wires and blowing fuses).5 mins
then fitted the 3way into the small cubby hole and fed the TomTom Go cable from the top right of the dash behind the fuse box and into the new 3way. 5 nis.
So around 15 mins all told to put everythign back to normal.
I'll take some photos as soon as I get a new s700 like pottsy's !!!!

Hi Newbie here - saw this in action at Castle Coombe Audi day - looked brilliant and v easy to use. I have been on other forums where group buys have been arrenged for things like these - would anyone:
1. know whether this can be organised through this forum?
2. be interested in partcipatinf in group buy?

Has anyone used their Pocket PC with the Tom Tom software?
Looks a mich cheaper way of doing it, with the software and everything (if you've already got a Pocket PC) costing £130. Obviously it won't be as neat and tidy as the "proper" unit, but would be interested to know how good it is?

I used to have the Navman 4410 GPS bluetooth receiver and a HP 2210 PPC with TomTom3. I got really fed up with the separate bits and it crashing now and again cos it uses windowz. I have not had 1 single problem with TT Go and it also has better and more up to date maps than TT V3.

I use a Mitac Mio 168 which has its own GPS recivier. The software for the maps is Co Pilot. Used it for hols in France and I wouldnt be without it.

The Mitac sits into a Brodit holder which attaches to the dashboard vent and is very secure. I'll try to add some pics later.
